Firstly, it's not on Bypass Road, it's on SBT Road next to Periyar Seven Hills Guesthouse. Food is excellent and not the same old tourist fodder. Where else have you had beef with pineapple and chocolate.....it was delicious! Not the cheapest (anout the same as all the other tourist fodder places we checked out) but we ate there twice and... Its hard to review this restaurant as our two experiences were very different. The first time we pop in for a lunch. The restaurant is just a few tables placed in beautiful garden. We had a delicious omelet and rather weak coffee. Overall the place was pleasant for lunchtime break and the food was good. We came back the same... More

A great choice of local dishes, with very personal service. This is a very small establishment, with only two chefs - so if they are busy be prepared to wait - It is worth it.

We have been in Coconut Garden twice during our sty in Kumily - we never got disapointed. Food is alwasy fresh prepared - so if all tables are occupied you might have to wait for 30 min. The menue has normal Indian dishes but also very special, created by the chief, tastes e.g. spicy chicken with honey and friuts, some... More

After arriving in Kumily with no idea about where was good to eat, we saw the Coconut Garden mentioned as a good bet on here so thought we'd give it a go. It is literally in a garden so if you are prone to mozzi bites make sure you cover up and take some repellent with you. The garden is... More

The only reason I have not rated this as Terrible is because the food was decent. Visited this place based on TripAdvisor rankings. Our first dinner there was alright. The place was empty, mosquitoes fed on our bodies. The owner seems to be the cook so the service was very slow. Food took a long time to come but was... More

One word which can describe is disgusting............... Though the food was good, we had to wait and follow-up for the orders and it took almost 45 minutes to serve the food..... one person who does all the work was very arrogant.......... We had to eat what we have not ordered....... when enquired, he was sarcastic, very arrogant... Ginger Honey Lemon... More

Here i had the best coffee and the best breakfast in Kumily. You had to wait a little time, but it´s worthy. The Special Kerala Omelet is fantastic, the Masala Tea is great, too.Very mouthwatering cuisine. It´s located at the Bypass Road in Kumily, near to the main bus station. You sit there in small garden, but there are only 3 tables.
