If you are looking for authentic Malabar cuisine, then this is place for you. It’s near to the Calicut beach, has excellent food & service. Please do try their "Unnakai”, a fried sweet dish with coconut & ripe plantain. I loved their snacks & chicken biriyani. Surprisingly their biriyani didn't have too much ghee as well. Your fingers will not... More

We have been enjoying Zainibithata's food for a long time. Since she started off in her first location before moving in here, we have been dedicated customers. Coming from a muslim family, her food reminds me of eating at our family house. Delicious traditional fare cooked and served in a simple manner. Also when you order chattipathiris and erachipathiris for... More

Zains, perched near the Kozhikode Beach, is without doubt an authentic Malabar cuisine restaurant. The place is run by an elderly lady named Zains "thaathaa" (thaathaa is a respectful term for a muslim lady). The place is famous for its home-cooked style food and really clean premises. The restaurant also boasts the facility of a "Niskaramuri" (or Muslim prayer room),... More

The Zain's hotel has a story behind it which is well displayed at the hotel. Claiming to serve authentic Calicut dishes and snacks, this hotel is slightly dull in ambiance. With the old timers gone, I didn't find the food to be that interesting but worth a try of course. And don't forget to check out the shelf at the... More
