Paragon Restaurant is a 75 years old food corner. Neat place and welcomed with warmth. We tried PRAWNS DRY FRY CHICKEN PANDANAS - chicken marinated and steam cooked in the pandanas leaf which is supposed to have some herbal properties served with a chilli and sweet sauce. BEEF ULARTHIYATHU ( spicy ) APPAM WITH FISH MOILY(a kind of stew) BRIYANI... More

We went for a weekend trip to Wayanad and decided to make a day trip to Calicut. Around lunch did some research on restaurants in town and read about Paragon.... and boy o boy... what an experience. We had to wait for about 20 mins, but then the staff was considerate seeing my son getting a little restless and allowed... More

Walk into this restaurant for lunch and you will be surprised to see the restaurant thickly packed, and the waiting area will be another surprise. This itself will keep you curious. The curiousness never let me down when i had the first portion of ma biriyani.. sumptuous it was.. I love this city for its fabulous culinary variety.. that will... More

After reading so many reviews about this restaurant I decided to give it a try. We were on our way to wayanad and we took a cab from kozhikode railway station and asked the driver to take us to Paragon first before embarking on our journey. As I had heard a lot about their Fish Mango Curry, we ordered it... More

Well, this restaurant is a must visit if one were to visit Calicut., it is different from the clichéd normal Malabar restaurant which are seen in plenty around northern Malabar. It is an institution in itself and has seen the likes of several celebrities including Rahul Gandhi. The tiger prawns are a must try for anyone visiting Paragon.

A must visit food joint when in Calicut. Paragon is famous for its authentic malabari biriyani. You wouldn't regret ordering any of other local delicacies. A very busy restaurant, finding a seatis difficult. Even if you manage one, other customers waiting to get in, bearers, everybody is in a rush waiting for you to clear space.

The service was professional and prompt, and the food was excellent, at a reasonable price. It is worth a visit. The place can get crowded, because it is so popular, but the staff seem to be able to manage the hungry hordes very efficiently.

Had to wait about half an hour to get in, but man was the food amazing. Do try the awesome Mutton Biryani with fragrant rice and succulent chunks of mutton.

An average looking restaurant, Paragon serves one of the best seafood in town. And is not expensive also. Its tasty, fresh, gratifying…… we tried prawns, fish curry, king fish, pomfret and lot many seafood variety. And especially their specialty “kallume kaya”… awesome!! The service is quick, attendees are friendly, only thing I didn’t like was we finished out lunch at... More
