Ok place but nothing special

Food was very good, but they didn't have a lot of things that were on the menu. Naan bread was freshly made South Indian style but dripping with oil. Roof top restaurant which was nice.

First impressions of this place were good, a nice rooftop location built around a tree that grows through the middle of it. Downhill from there I'm afraid. Service was not great, quite disinterested and slow, despite it being very quiet. The prawns we ordered were big but over cooked, and the curry was not nice. One of the worst meals... More

Our two first trials; Oceanis and Elite hotel's restaurant (which we have visited several evenings) were full, so we reached out to roof top restaurant on the Mango Tree. Wau, this place could be the best in town due to it's wonderful view over the city and there was real big old tree growing in the middle of the restaurant.... More

We to wait for our food for over an hour and there were only 8 people in the restaurant. We could see the dishes sitting in the service counter for 10 minutes before they came to our table. These came before plates or cutlery. After we complained the plates came, one short, and no cutlery. The curries looked congealed and... More

Had a really nice talk with the staff manager, who welcomed me very warmly. The waiters aren't that good (very young), but the manager was def nice.

Decided on this restaurant as the professional looking sign outside said there was Mexican food. (After some time in India I was craving Mexican!) The waiter did not raise his head when we walked in. Turns out there was no Mexican and also very little of anything else. No atmosphere. We arrived an lunch time and felt like it was... More

Now let me preface by saying that these guys seem very friendly. But I guess friendliness is your only saving grace when you see 70% of the people who come into your place walk out. Luckily we had a card game with us and were not overly hungry or the hour and a half wait for the food might have... More

We went here the year before and had a truly average meal with lost in space waiters.Decided to give it another chance this year in case it had improved. It hadn't ..if anything, the food was worse. We had the same song either on a loop tape or a faulty CD because by the time we left we had heard it 20 times... The Mango Tree was the first restaurant we visited in Fort Kochi, and since then, we've returned many times. The local food is consistently good - not gastronomic but nevertheless very good - and the drinks are great! My favourites are the Mango Tree iced tea (although I could do without the ice cream on top!), and the carrot and... More

Nice rooftop restaurant but the mosquitoes are still reaching there, good that they provide mosquito coils. Food taste good - had a fresh grilled calamari in lemon butter garlic sauce. The lime soda, though, was terribly sour.
