After traveling around Keralan eating at homestays, we had been struggling to find authentic Keralan food in Fort Kochi. But then we ate vegetarian thalis (420 rupees) at Malabar House for lunch and we found it! It even included our favourite Keralan dessert - payasam. The service was high class and the setting delightful.

Lovely restaurant. Live music, great atmosphere with delicious food. Popular with Europeans. Outside tables set around the pool. Take your insect repellant! A perfect place for a romantic dinner.

Really top notch restaurant in a sophisticated but comfortable setting. The service here was exceptional. As a solo female traveller who is also a foodie, this was one of my favorite spots in Kochi. Not inexpensive though but worth it.

Kochi was a first landfall in India, so we had nothing to compare this restaurant with. That being said, in the sense of an unusual building, location (notwithstanding the usual huge accumulations of rubbish) etc. there is a possible case for R&C membership. However, this does not apply to the food - ordinary and the service - nervous, of all... More

I had a three course dinner here and the food was really of high quality and nicely presented. The atmosphere was also nice, next to the swimming pool.A band plays local karnatic music at night.Staff are very friendly and attentive. It is a top-end place after all.

The Malabar House makes sure that provide you with the best service and good food. On my second visit in a week, i found consistency in their food and service, something that you would expect from a good hotel. The food selection is good, though with a limited menu for vegetarians. The Trilogy of Indian curry was good and surprisingly... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Malabar House. The ravioli was the best I have had so far, pasta with scampi and tiger prawns yum, prawns in mango moily and Kerala mutton delicious and the chocolate samosas with mango coulis simply superb. Last but not the least staff are friendly and courteous.

We recently stayed at a nearby hotel. We stopped in for a drink and a meal in the wine bar upstairs. The service was exceptional. The food was good and the little outdoor patio was lovely in the evening. Boby was the server in the wine bar and exceeded expectations for customer service.

We stopped here for a beer and stayed for a light meal. It's a long story, but when we ran into difficulties in reaching the rest of our party, Boby was a great help. The atmosphere on the terrace was delightful.
