This is one of the oldest restaurants in south Bangalore and I have been going here since 1975. The masala dosa they serve is simply out of this world. Masala dosa is like a pancake, well roasted with a potato/onion curry inside and anytime you go it is crowded, you wait and the wait is worth it. The crowd spills... More

Was a regular feature in our itinerary earlier whenever we visited Gandhibazaar for shopping. Dosa's and coffee was good. Now we have to call it oily dosa and has to use soap to wash our oily/greasy hands after having dosa's. Coffee continues to be good. The service remains below standard with servers frowning. People hovering over you for the seat with... More

Well the Dosa's are good but not to really die for. Had Masala Dosa here and the oil on the dosa was really very high. The taste is good... Did not hit me to have it again. I may go but not for the hype. Ambiance is nothing better, Small table and chairs and with the kind of crowd you... More

By far the best masala dosa in Bangalore. Love their chutney. You need to wait for a seat but it is worth the wait.

Traditional experience from the root. Everything in the restaurant is special. Those wooden and stone furniture combination, sketches of poets/scholars, billing counter, servers (maani), serving method and the taste. If you want to find real meaning of Crispy "hotel dosa", then you must visit vidyarthi bhavan once in a life time. Dosas will be yummier with lots of ghee. You... More

Vidyarthi Bhavan on Gandhi bazaar is a great place for food lovers. Most of the dishes prepared are authenticate and Mouth watering.

Yes it is tastiest of all dosas and a bang for the buck no doubt, but if you pay a little attention to the amount of fat poured into it, you can as well call it deep fried dosa. Not to mention the utter lack of ambiance. I don't expect it to have a nice 5 star or even 3... More

This is the resturant which has maintained since decades the standard and quality of the Bangalore masala dosa.. Only a real Bangalorean can appreciate the quality and aroma of this dosa. It can never be surpassed. I have been having this dosa for the last 40 years.
