It feels like it probably did in the 1940s when it opened. It's a total locals hangout, in the non-touristy Gandhi Bazaar area of Bangalore. The prices are insanely... More

Happened to be passing through Gandhi bazaar on a Sunday morning and decided to try out this renowned place for breakfast. As expected the place was overflowing. About 30 people were already waiting and we were informed that a minimum of 25 minutes are needed to get our turn. We were surprised that we were called in at exactly 25... More

I have savoured Vidyarthi bhavan since my days in the National High school and National college in early 70s. Dosas were great. A year ago, I went there and was seriously disappointed. The doss were thick and spongy, lacked the authentic taste that made bhavan so famous. I nearly had tears in my eyes to see that my favourite place... More

Vidhyarthi bhavan is just close to home and almost every week thrice i visit this place, sometimes the dosas are divine , but rarely they could be a little burnt or odd also. people who want to avoid oily/greasy food please stay away as their dosas have dollops of butter in them.

Vidyarthi Bhavan is frequented by the famous as well as common man for its famous thindis. Its Dosa is very popular. The only difficulty with the place is the unusual crowds that it attracts.
