Cute Humble place that one can goto for some cozy hot bengali food. Decent portion thaali with bhaja of the day ... But i'd say that...Sorshe Illish is probably the highlight of my every meal... It so reminds one of the mustard oil fragrance that goes around in every kitchen on calcutta. A must try dish if u are a... More

Was informed that fried fish is their best delicacy but it was not available. Was informed fish hasn't arrived from Kolkata. Why Kolkata? When Chennai and Mangalore are close by. This is called build up. Opted for Mini Thali. Some maida pooris.Four tea spoonful of rice. Little dal.no subji. A nice bengali sweet. Rs 260. The bearer will suggest expensive... More

Went with great expectations to this place this month. Wasn't disappointed, but can't say was too happy either. Happy I was for whatever we ordered tasted great. Unhappy because more things on the menu and on the white board were not available. The kosha mangsho, and the mutton dakbangla both are heavenly. Illish was simply NOT available :-( so weren't... A great place for fish eaters. I love fish but just cannot cook at home for the hassles that come with cooking fish. this place is close to our home and we are regulars. they have good bengali preparations in mustard oil. tastes great but the portion is small. i'd say 2 plates per person :-) never disappointed on the... It is a great place for an authentic Bengali cuisine. The mains are designed for 1 person - so if you order Bhaper Eilish, you will only get 1 piece of fish. Food is brilliant (hence would give 5 stars), but they did not have about 6 of the items from the menu - mainly prawn based dishes which was... More

Well, Bangalore closes down early. So when we entered this place at about 10:15 pm, they were already preparing to close for the day. And they didn't have some of the basic dishes that we wanted. Nevertheless, what they could deliver was very good as well. Do not miss the Basanti Pulau. The 'mini-thala' was very good and more than... More

This place used to be my goto place for authentic bengali food till 2 years back. I just loved and relished this place and their menu had everything a bengali could want outside bengal. But my happiness was shortlived. last year we went to this place for dinner and found out that the servings had reduced considerably by size, the... More

I have spent good 6-7 yrs in Kolkata & my love for authentic Bengali cuisine prompted me to try Bhojohari Manna. This was my 3rd visit to Bhojohari manna -Not a pleasant one to share! Earlier visit was at Jayanagar where we had to literally wait for 1 hr to get the ordered food. It was around 10pm so we... More

It is a pure Bengali restaurant, if you love rice, daal, fish, this restaurant is a must try. Better to go on weekdays as in weekend very difficult to get a table and it is very boring to wait to eat. I went there 3 times while staying in Bangalore and loved their food each time, specially prawns and 'Bhetki'... More
