I almost avoided this place because it is located in a hotel. But fortunately, wiser heads prevailed and we gave it a try. The food was great, all of us loved it. The service was just as good, with the staff right there every time you needed them, but not hovering over you otherwise. Highly recommended.

Excellent kakori kebab, prawns and amazing mutton biryani. Best and very efficient service and care is taken of customers.. Very good atmosphere. Expensive but worth it.. Must have kakori kebab and mutton biryani.. Not for people who like spicy food, the food is well balanced with many flavours and delicately spiced.. Very delicious.. This place deserves more than just a review. The food, the drinks, the courteousness, the variety and the ambience. You name it and they excel in it. That pot of Biriyani was the closest I have ever been to attaining Nirvana. Once is a must. Save money if you have to. If you love food, this is one of the... More

As rightfully suggested in the headline the tragedy of paying INR10k plus as food bill and then getting pedestrian food is unthinkable and especially when you are in a place like Maurya which is known for its food standards, the raan was totally shitto , overcooked to the hilt-more of a bubblegum then anything, the bread basket threw only 3... Dum Pukht Jolly Nabobs - 'Dum Pukht' for the unique technique of slow cooking in sealed pans and containers, to ensure the food is well cooked but retains most flavours and ;'Jolly Nabobs', a play on the word 'Nawab' - the phrase coined to depict Britishers who had returned to their homeland after amassing huge amounts of wealth from our... I saw in the the reviews on Trip Adviser and went to the Restaurant with my Spouse on the occasion of her Birth Day. But to my amazement,I found the Rates were exorbitant though the Ambiance is Excellent being a Luxury Hotel, the Taste of the Food can not be termed as excellent. If the were excellent,I would not have minded the... My friend Brian H captured our experience nicely below. We ordered Kakori Kabab, Dum Pukht Dum Biriyani and the Raan dish along with some chef recommended bread and a bottle of red wine. Quite a bit of food for just the two of us but we cleaned up everything! The food, service and ambience was extra-ordinary and by far the... More

We came for the biryani. We had that and more. Without a doubt the finest meal I have had in Bangalore - and one of the best ever. We chose three signature dishes: the lamb kabob, roast lamb marinated in dark rum, and their signature biryani. It was amazing from start to finish. The kabobs, minced and perfectly spiced, were...
