MTR as it is called and recalled by many is a legendary joint visited by many. The place serves good food and is a regular joint by people for many years now. One thing that stands out is the non-welcoming attitude of the waiter's. They act as though they are doing us a favour by taking our orders and serving... More

It is one of the oldest restaurants of Bangalore. MTR near Lalbagh has seen many celebrities as their customers. In the evening hours it is quite common to see them waiting outside along with other customers. The interior is maintained still the same old way reminding the olden times in the ultramodern city. Yes, visited this restaurant and had lunch with my wife for which I had to took a cab. I was so enthusiastic to eat there listening to all the hype. In the end we had a good lunch rather than a great one. If you are visiting it for the first time, keep an open mind

One of the best food hubs and nobles of olden age. The masala Dosa,Rava idly, Kesari bath, medhu vada, Gulab Jamon, simply great. My obsolute favorite is freshly ground chutney. Best part is Karnataka Coffee, Grape juice and Fruit Salad with ice cream. Located close to lalbagh main entrance. Now MTR has many branches in Bengaluru. MUST VISIT FOR GREAT... More

Ok so we reached at 3pm noon. They said meals only. We were like we have come for dosa. They said starts at 3.30. So since some of us were real hungry we Thot lets eat dis and den the others can eat dosa later. And what a wise decision that was. Have never had such tasty meals outside.

They have a great breakfast. This is olde Bangalore, before it became a sprawling, cacophonic metropolis. . It has a typical South Indian breakfast. Get there by 7.30am. Their delicious vadais finish soon, usually by 8.30am. All the different types of dosais, idlis, pongal are delicious. The South Indian filter coffee is also delightful, served they say in silver glasses! This... More

Having a vegetarian Thai meals delight. Good place to relish Typical Kannadiga cuisine. Not the first time I've come here. ambience is clean. Famous for its imperial style structure. Known for their clean kitchen. Food is tasty. Worth the drive and the wait to get a seat. May be the number of items served in Recommend strongly.

The crispy Masala Dosas, fluffy rava idlis and aroma of freshly brewed coffee is still remembered by my family members who are at Canada. This is a must agenda whenever they visit India.

This is the place to eat if you are not calorie conscious, the dosa & idly are scrumptious & amazingly good. You need to finish with their signature coffee served in silver glasses. They have retained the old world charm & ambience, the service is a tad slow but well compensated by the stuff they dish out.

The title says it all. This restaurant has some old charm associated with it, more like a deja vu moment (similar to Vidyarthi Bhavan). They server lunch also, but I have mostly been here to have breakfast and snacks. If you like uddin vada, make sure you go early for breakfast by 7:30am, else they run off the shelf :)... More
