Rinchen Namgial holds a degree in Buddhist Philosophy and operates one of the best trekking companies in Ladakh. In his coffee house, you are only one question away from any answer. He can connect you with many people, businesses and historical sites that are Ladakh. His Buddhist energy is peaceful and makes communication easy. And! While you're there, you can... More

Only Namgial could have imported the necessary equipment to produce perfect cappuccinos and lattes at 11000 feet above sea level. Yama Coffee House is a perfect place to spend an afternoon catching up on work and communications (the wifi is among the most reliable in Leh), sipping delicious drinks, snacking, and talking with friends. The staff is congenial and helpful,... More

The Yama Café easily became my favourite café to visit daily. I was always warmly welcomed by Nilza and her friendly staff, who provided me with excellent service. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food was always fresh and delicious, and the servings were very generous. I need gluten free, and found omelettes and yummy porridge with fresh fruit and... Our favourite place to hang out after our daily tours. Nice coffee and cakes and free wifi all the time. Sometimes it doesn't work. The cheesecake was delicious and so was the fruit pie of some sort. Nice friendly peoples running the place

Melbourne, Australia is the coffee capital of the world. Yama coffee is excellent, the real thing, some of the best coffee we have ever drunk around the world, combine it with the cake and it was a perfect end to each day.

I had the mediterranean pizza for lunch and it was excellent. A great place to relax after a spectacular trek in Zanskar with Yama Adventures.
