I am a regular in Penguin Garden since 10 years, and I can confirm, this is the best beer garden, breakfast garden, tandoori restaurant, german bakery in Leh. Most friendly service, food and drinks just the right way done, good value for money, and now even with WLAN. I love this place !

The restaurant seemed to be a favorite, esp. among the western tourists. It's a good place to dine and relax. We ordered trout with mashed potato and stirred fried vegetables which took long to make but it's worth the wait and money! The trout was very fresh and quite big in size (we paid for 500 Rs. each) though mashed... More

Nice setting in a garden, where you can sit and relax and use the Free WLAN. Good food and Mango LAssi

This hidden gem is the perfect escape from the busy markets. I got a fresh squeeze juice and the Israeli breakfast. My boyfriend got the regular breakfast. We both loved our food and the quite beautiful spot. Highly recommended by a hungry Canadian couple :)

This garden place is lovely - even the cliche DB smokers can't ruin it for you! Food is reasonably priced as well as yummy, service swift and attentive and, at least at lunch times when I visited, a nice friendly vibe. Their chicken tikka is really very yummy and their western style options are better than competent. If I return... More

Huge is the word that I must used to describe the portion in the breakfast that we ordered. An old friend of us and fan of Penguin Restaurant suggested us to give a visit and we were definitely not sorry. Free WiFi was honestly an added advantage, but all the four different variety of breakfast (veg as well as non-veg)... More

We adored the fast and free wifi and the good food. However, the pasta dishes disappointed us after the sizzlers and the chicken and beef dishes. Staff is very friendly. The cakes from the German Bakery can also be recommended. Great background music and overall nice atmosphere.

The only thing I can complain about is a typical Indian toilet. But we loved the waiters and the food was always good. The waiters really care about the clients, if it was crowded they were just running with the food. I remember not liking just one thing for breakfast, and I was eating there everyday.
