Simple, tasty, no nonsense and most of the days fresh trout. (not available on veggie days). Very pleasant summer terrace under the trees. Friendly people.

First the ambience and then the food. You have to visit this place if you are visiting Leh. Try any pizza or even the Hummus - they are delightful but don't miss on the Trout. The Tandoori Trout is the best I have ever had.

10 of us went here for evening meal at end of a cycle trip from Manali. We sat outside, which was a little bit windy on the first of two nights that we used this restaurant. Reasonably good choice of a variety of cuisines on the menu. The Khadi Chicken was excellent (and boneless!) and the Tandoori Trout (one of... More

'garden' restaurants are dime a dozen in leh. you can give this one a miss. very regular, and very average. nothing out of all the food we ordered was noteworthy. if you want indian or chinese, go to the tibetan kitchen restaurant on old fort road. the food is way better

Didnt like the Apricot pie & the Cheese cake. Both were very sour & were not fresh. Probably the food doesnt fit the Indian palate.

Had the largest breakfast on the menu (200 rupees) which is spot on for big eaters. The mango lassi, whilst on the small side, was delicious. The muesli was more a ‘Just Right’ style cereal but tasty nonetheless. The fried eggs came out sunny side up and exactly as ordered – a massive rarity all over India. Also on the... More

A dear friend bought me to Penguin from the back doors..they had stopped taking in people as there was a shutdown that afternoon. They still served good food! I had the club sandwich which was served with fresh salad and fries. Great outdoor location. A baker came with a tray of freshly baked chocolate cake. The cakes in Ladakh is... More
