The only reason we walked in here is because someone from the group spotted it and the rest of us were too tired and hungry to argue. Well, in retrospect, we were glad that we did walk in here. The place looked rather ordinary and the people waiting on us didn't do much to bolster our confidence in the potential... More

Located centrally in the main bazaar, this place offers both good food at reasonable prices and a stunning view of Leh palace. We visited this restaurant twice during our 4-day Leh trip and ordered Butter tea, Kotey (fried momo), Shapale (Tibetan fried meat pie) and Tingmo (Tibetan bread and vegetable soup). While the Shapale was average, the Tingmo was fantastic.... More

Visited this restaurant for Thupka and Momos and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. A neat restaurant with the local flavour. The only thing negative about this place is that it is on the 3rd floor but the food makes up for the effort required to get to the restaurant.

We ate in many places in Leh and this became everyone's favorite. The palak panier, chicken korma and watermelon juice were my favorites, but all of us greatly enjoyed all of our food. The service was quick and friendly, if a tad reserved. The place is clean and equipped with candles and backup lights for Leh's frequent power outages. Great... More

You can choose from different cooking styles, and each time, it was very good. Lovely service, clean place, and not noisy, which in Leh is quite unusual ! a very nice view from the windows as the sun sets on the palace hill, and also a good view on the main street. A place to recommend, for sure !

We had lunch here and, although quiet, the other diners were a mix of tourists and locals (always a good sign). Lovely food and nicely laid out, right in the middle of the main market street too

In India, I find it nice to dine above street level, since the streets are often not very sanitary and may not smell nice. Himalaya Cafe is up three floors (with no elevator), and is a large, tidy restaurant. They have a huge menu which included meat dishes from Oriental, Ladakhi and Indian culinary traditions. The sweet & salty lassi... More

Visited this place last week, we chanced on this place only because there weren't any restaurants open at around 10 pm. This place was open but empty. We ordered quite a few dishes ranging from Italian to Indian to Chinese. Must say all the dishes were damn tasty. Thukpa was really nice and so was american chopsey. The prices were... More

We ordered Singaporean fried rice and manchurian here.It was tasty. The only problem was paneer in the rice, which i hate. Didn't have much options for desserts available .also there were no fresh fruit juices. Overall a good experience hough.
