Classic Italian Food. Better than what we get in Mumbai. Plus the venue is beautifully set in the gardens of a small local bungalow (which they have converted into dinning space and kitchens) But I would recommend the seating in the lush gardens full of colourful flowers and can catch some beautiful birds too. Ambience is very nice too.

I first visited this place many years ago, when the Italian Chef Marco was in charge of the Il Forno. The taste of that perfect wood fire pizza with hand made dough, sun dried tomatoes from Sicily, real olive oil and Parmesan cheese still rankles my taste buds. It became my favourite restaurant in Manali because of its warm wood... More

We were staying at he Himalayan resort so walked the 100 yards to this top rated restaurant. The setting is excellent and the option to eat outside on a nice patio or inside in the small, intimate dining room very nice. We opted for the chicken pizza. The thin crust pizza was good and had a generous amount of chicken.... More

After a hillside stroll we had a beautiful evening here. I was amazed with the entire restaurant's location and decoration. There are seating below the huge umbrella and their own garden with flowers and apple and plum trees. We had the pizza which was tasty as thought and lasagna as expected. Last we ordered for coffee which I enjoyed laying... More

The best part is there is a garden as well which has trees like plums and apples. Good place to stroll and experience good food. Its on the road to the Hidimba... More

This was my second visit to Manali after many years. Il Forno was one of the top choices in my list of restaurants to visit. I was a bit apprehensive about visiting Il Forno this time around as I had read that the original Italian owners had left and the restaurant was now being run by local Himachalis. However, my... It is located in the lap of nature. They have an apple and zucchini tree.. we picked up some dropped apples and they didnt charge us for it... we had the il forno special, and as expected it was bland, thin crust pizza and had to sprinkle more of salt, oregano and chilli flakes- (dominos has spoilt us) another serve...
