Visited the place with friends after a 4 day trek to Hampta Pass. We enjoyed the food here, blue cheese chicken salad and pizza with beer.

The place is very nice and quiet compare to the market in manali but the service start to be very poor as the food quality... the prices are simply too high, i think it's a staff problem...It's sad!

We visited Johnson's Cafe when there wasn't much rush. On our maiden visit to Manali, this was certainly on our agenda (thanks to HOMP!) and we were quite happy with the experience. The little fireplace in one corner helped with the warmth which was very necessary! Soup, salad and pizza all were excellent and good portion size! This one is... More

First of all, there's a generator here, which means, when there's a power cut, you could still basically enjoy the comforts of a proper dining experience. And the food here is great and reasonable priced too. Later in the evenings, the DJ comes on and you get to dance the night away...apparently it gets really crowded in summers...

The waiters here are probably told to behave strictly and without any smile, the chefs were probably on leave as most things on menu were unavailable.

I could be wrong but I felt that what Tito's is to Baga beach, Goa, Johnson's Cafe is to Mall road, Manali.

During cold days when even the hotel wasn't warm enough we found the fire at Johnson's Cafe very inviting. Food is great - in particular the aloo parathas for breakfast, and the rum toddy - amazing! Nice atmosphere, great service, good price.
