It's unfortunate I decided to go there on the last day of my trip, my driver had persuaded me to go there from the very first day. Undoubtedly the best trout fish in Manali and by far the best service. The restaurant is in one of the cross roads so a little difficult to find but everyone on mall road... More

Manali, unfortunately, doesn't serve local cuisine anywhere. At Mayur, we tried a local himachali dish, Aloo Palda. Served in Curd gravy, this turned out to be a delight. Staff was also well behaved. Location is inside a lane on main mall but anyone will guide you to it.

Not many in when we first visited. Waiter was immense and we had a great chat. Food was good, not great. Many of the small dhaba around town serve better food at lower prices. If you eat at mayur you won't be disappointed, but neither will you come away in raptures. An average dining experience.

Mayur is situated just off the Mall road. As you walk in, it feels that the place has a long history. We tried the veg stuff and while the paneer dish was quite average, I loved the himachali dish called Sepu Badi. It is essentially palak paneer, with badis instead of paneer. The badis had an awesome texture, (somewhat grainy).... More

Long story short - best for both Indian and Continental food. Recommended dishes for Indian - Try Butter chicken and tokri of rotis if you are non-veg. For veg folks ask for a local dish (don't rem the name) but is like palak paneer. For continental try Trout fish (really good)

If you are looking for: Tasty Indian food. Good service. Old world feel. Reasonable rates. A place favored by locals. Then Mayur is the place you want to be at Sweet Tooth Tip: There is also a nice bakery just opposite to the restaurant.
