If you think you have experienced India food at its best, then try Amaranta. The Chillie crab is to die for and there are a number of dishes I would not have really known. There is a strong influence of fish, which I usually avoid as the flavour of fresh seafood is so often drowned by sauces - not here!

Great food, great service - and the interior designer made the most out of the room, which was certainly challenging.

Last evening we celebrated my husbands birthday there. And it was so special that we are going back today! The Butter Crab rice is just superb. So is the tamarind and champagne sorbet is a perfect way to end the meal. Great service as well. And value for money too. Don't think just go there
