Description: 'Agashiye' in Gujarati means on the terrace. This beautiful restaurant is spread over two huge terraces are inter-connected by a smaller one that houses a small wooden cottage. At Agashiye, the food is freshly prepared, a lot of it in the terrace kitchen where you can see it. Our attempt is to retain the distinct flavours of the ingredients and we use both spices and oil sparingly. The menu at Agashiye changes daily and varies seasonally too, so an item that you particularly liked during a previous visit may not be there on the menu. Though we hope you'd find another favourite! The staff at Agashiye comprises mostly of men from neighboring villages. During dinner, they will guide you to the waiting area where you will be served juice and starters. You will be informed when your table is ready. During lunch, you are seated at your table right away. The food is served in a kansa thali immediately on being seated at the table. The meal starts with a choice of Indian breads and ends with rice. Servings are unlimited. The staff has been instructed not to constantly hover around you and yet be attentive. In case you have a specific requirement, a supervisor will be there to assist you. Please don't be surprised if you are served a non-Gujarati dish or hear non-Indian music at Agashiye. It is neither an ethnic nor a theme restaurant. It is meant to be a dining experience in a contemporary Gujarati home.Agashiye can be booked for parties of up to 400 people with a buffet setting.

Accompanied by my family, I went to this restaurant in Ahmedabad very recently. The experience turned out to be absolutely hopeless, to say the least!! They charge you a very hefty rate - about Rs. 650 per head - for a perfectly ordinary meal. The ambiance, about which so much is tom-tommed is also not so great that it needs... More

I use to visit it a lot before the Food quality went down and the rates went up. if the food was that good, I would be happy to pay... More

Agashiye, located in the Agashi (rooftop terrace in Gujarati) of the Heritage Hotel called , House of MG. Any visitor to Ahmedabad must visit this place for authentic gujarati food, served on the rooftop by efficient and well cultured staff. Thedelicious food should be enjoyed in a relaxed mood, and the time spent there gives you value for your money

Agashiye is housed within the House of MG, a boutique heritage hotel. Famous for its Gujarati Thali (an Indian meal served on a steel plate with multiple small dishes), you have the option of dining in an air-conditioned or non-air-conditioned environment. Dining at Agashiye is an experience by itself. You are lead through a tiny lush garden and into an... More

The best a traveler can ask for is the mix of History, authentic taste, hospitality & ambiance served with modern day classiness. From the House of Mangaldas Girdhardas, the former Nagar Seth of Ahmedabad, who has close ties with Mahatma Gandhi, they have converted their Haveli into modern day business hotel. The Entrance, the lobby, the Authentic flavors of great... More

If you are Gujarati then don't go at this place because as my experience the taste of the food is not so good its average and the price of the gujarati thali is very expensive....so if you want some good nd tasty food there are many options available in Ahmedabad...I experienced total wastage of my money......
