Description: 'Agashiye' in Gujarati means on the terrace. This beautiful restaurant is spread over two huge terraces are inter-connected by a smaller one that houses a small wooden cottage. At Agashiye, the food is freshly prepared, a lot of it in the terrace kitchen where you can see it. Our attempt is to retain the distinct flavours of the ingredients and we use both spices and oil sparingly. The menu at Agashiye changes daily and varies seasonally too, so an item that you particularly liked during a previous visit may not be there on the menu. Though we hope you'd find another favourite! The staff at Agashiye comprises mostly of men from neighboring villages. During dinner, they will guide you to the waiting area where you will be served juice and starters. You will be informed when your table is ready. During lunch, you are seated at your table right away. The food is served in a kansa thali immediately on being seated at the table. The meal starts with a choice of Indian breads and ends with rice. Servings are unlimited. The staff has been instructed not to constantly hover around you and yet be attentive. In case you have a specific requirement, a supervisor will be there to assist you. Please don't be surprised if you are served a non-Gujarati dish or hear non-Indian music at Agashiye. It is neither an ethnic nor a theme restaurant. It is meant to be a dining experience in a contemporary Gujarati home.Agashiye can be booked for parties of up to 400 people with a buffet setting.

If you are Gujarati then don't go at this place because as my experience the taste of the food is not so good its average and the price of the gujarati thali is very expensive....so if you want some good nd tasty food there are many options available in Ahmedabad...I experienced total wastage of my money......

Excellent experience. A must visit place for Gujarati food lovers. If you visit Ahmedabad from outside, try it for the traditional style. In the hurt of the city. Ambiance are beautiful. Lots of items in thali. Parking would be a problem.

Awesome in all respects. I had a slight reservation since in the past the Gujarati food I'd had was far too sweet for my liking. But this was just awesome! The ambience, service, and food quality was top notch. There were some dishes which I did'nt like, but that was due to my taste preference, because I could tell that... More

We visited Agashiye with my family as part of a wedding reception. The ambience and the setting were perfect for a long evening spent with friends and acquaintances. The food was delicious with all items just enough spicy. The building itself is worth a visit, especially for architects. They have recently acquired the adjoining building and the conversion/restoration to a... More

Gujarati uses roof top of house for kite flying and to sleep during summer nights. A concept to dine under sparkling star shine will enrich Gujarati Thali. A unique way to dine and enjoy Gujju food.

Thoroughly enjoyed my business lunch here. The setting is grand in its truest sense, the service enthusiastic, knowledgable and most importantly have a sense of ceremony. Variety of dishes is wide and the servings generous.

Loved the food here. More than that you'll like the presentation and the traditional way of serving the food. Not a budget friendly place, as you have to shell out at least INR 700-800 for thali. Will still recommend it for the kind of hospitality and variety of food that I had here.

Just bang opposite the Siddi Syed Jaali (one of the important historical place of visit in Ahmedabad) is this multistory building which... More
