Description: 'Agashiye' in Gujarati means on the terrace. This beautiful restaurant is spread over two huge terraces are inter-connected by a smaller one that houses a small wooden cottage. At Agashiye, the food is freshly prepared, a lot of it in the terrace kitchen where you can see it. Our attempt is to retain the distinct flavours of the ingredients and we use both spices and oil sparingly. The menu at Agashiye changes daily and varies seasonally too, so an item that you particularly liked during a previous visit may not be there on the menu. Though we hope you'd find another favourite! The staff at Agashiye comprises mostly of men from neighboring villages. During dinner, they will guide you to the waiting area where you will be served juice and starters. You will be informed when your table is ready. During lunch, you are seated at your table right away. The food is served in a kansa thali immediately on being seated at the table. The meal starts with a choice of Indian breads and ends with rice. Servings are unlimited. The staff has been instructed not to constantly hover around you and yet be attentive. In case you have a specific requirement, a supervisor will be there to assist you. Please don't be surprised if you are served a non-Gujarati dish or hear non-Indian music at Agashiye. It is neither an ethnic nor a theme restaurant. It is meant to be a dining experience in a contemporary Gujarati home.Agashiye can be booked for parties of up to 400 people with a buffet setting.

The recommendation about this restaurant is a must on any page related to Ahmedabad. Couldn't; be a better place to enjoy authentic Gujarati food which is easy on your stomach but leaves you with an unforgettable experience. The location is convenient and the décor is ethnic. The utensils rustic and the welcoming with a pink rose was truly in Atithi... More

Visited this place alongwith two friends on a weekday morning for pure simple Indian vegetarian breakfast. Its is a haveli converted into a restaurant located very near to the prime city at Lal Darwaja. We sat in the ground floor open area with the seating being wooden benches and tables. The food quality for breakfast was awesome. We tried upma... More

There is no doubt that this is an excellent setting and the ambience is amazing. However the food was not to suit my palate. I visited this place and ate other Gujrati food also but somehow I could not deal with the sweet along with the salty.

The place is tastefully done up.. Rather maintained as it has always been a haveli used by the mangaldas family .. Few modifications and it offers a very quaint Gujarati food experience .. The spread is wisely chosen , almost home cooked and very pleasing to the palette .. The ambience is one seconded by none .. Must try for... More

by pure chance I was able to meet a friend here just before flying out of Ahmedabad. Magnificent thali, lovely vegetarian food in interesting surroundings right at the top of the house of Mg. It would have been good to have eaten on the sofas and tables out on the rooftop under the canopy. Highly reccomended. Mind you the food... More

We loved the whole experience. Great food, not spicy and everything tasted fresh. Rooftop with soft lighting. Attentive servers and well supervised to make sure every guest is looked after. Limitless food, so go when you are really hungry :) A must try in Ahmedabad.

The set meal ( thali) is very good, however would recommend to go for a la carte menu, it offers good variety and can relish few dishes to the maximum.

The restaurant is in a old heritage Haveli(old mansion kind of house). The charm of the place is very refreshing and food is authentic Gujarati food. Very good overall experience.
