Excruciatingly painful experience. What a let down. Beautifully done restaurant good music & promises of eastern wonder. The service was poor, poor poor most of menu items not available & food was just ok. We wanted to leave but Ramiz the manager insisted he would make the difference & he did. He tried hard to make our experience good -... More

Good experience but lacks authenticity. I had tried Beirut Kebab with Zereshk Rice. Far away from authentic preparation. In Zereshk Rice there is no zereshk(berries), saffron, baharat!!! Only stir-fried with pomegranate. Beirut kebabs only rosted with garlic/peri sauce. Their menu is authentic for menu items only not for food. Then after the taste, garnish, quantity is good. Nice decoration and... More

Horrible experience. We went to their pvr restaurant. We waited for 45 minutes and then when we started ordering and we were told that they ran out of mezze platter and pizzas. We were with 6 children and went there specifically for platter and pizzas. Then we called the chef and instead of apologising he acted rudely with us. The... More

Just came back from a dinner at Souq. Me & my wife have been planning to visit this restaurant for almost 2 years now and finally we made it today. In a line I can say that "I liked this place, but didn't really LOVE it." The exterior facade of the restaurant is quite famous in Ahmedabad now and looks... More

Had I been much much younger & courting, I would have taken my girlfriend for a cosy dinner in this cute, crowded, cramped place which is so romantic. I am reminded of many European cafes & bistros where you cannot help but overhear young lovers coo-cooing. Souq serves Meditteranian, Lebanese, Morroccan, middle-eastern food. The food is tasty. Service is prompt... More

The restaurant is known for its middle-eastern food esp. for fallafal and hummus. I had some manakeesh, and it was delicious. Some of the food that we had was really spicy, but you can always ask them to turn down the spices :-). I would also highly recommend to order a mocktail "Virgin Mojito". It was one of the best... We've lived and traveled a lot in the Middle East, so we do realise that dishes have been tweaked for the Ahmedabad palate, but we still quite like this place. Their specials like the tamarind fish are excellent.

This would be my 5th visit to Souq, since my first visit I am in love with the food. The food is a welcome break from the Dhokla and Fafda that is around. The food is pretty authentic tasting, the Falafel could and should be slightly more bland. The salads and mocktails are very nice. All in all a place... More
