Excellent food. Good ambiance, nice musiem, a unique experience. One should have hunger to eat so much food.
Being a Non vegetarian, I am not too fond of places that offer vegetarian food. However Vishala offers a great ambience. the rustic feel of a village setup is worth spending time. The food is served of a dried leave. They also serve generous amount of food quantity. My favorite is the Methi na Gota, Jalebi and Khichadi with generous... More
You will be amazed by the fact that their spread never ends until you give up :). Food just keeps coming to you until you actually raise your hand and say enough! This is a place where you take your family for an entire evening of fun. Its a village by itself full of antiques.
One of the best excellent traditional Gujarati food, Ambiance & set up is perfect for Gujarati traditional cushions, Excellent Hospitality & Bet part is Utensil Museum when waiting outside for your turn. Cultural activities every evening add icing on the cake!!! Overall the best place for Gujarati food at Ahmedabad
Good food.Feel like village when you enter in vishala. Where you can enjoy Kathiyawadi food, fock dance. All the restaurant is lighted up with lantern. so it looks beautiful at night. But not advicable to go there in monsoon. In summer and winter it will be great experience.
Our friends surprised us with a visit one evening to this venue. Lit up with lanterns we followed the magical pathway to the village theme restaurant. Puppet show, musicians, gujarati swing seat were enjoyed before washing our hands with hand poured jugs of warm water and offered seating on mats at low tables. (Note - you can ask for normal... More
It is a unique place away from the regular world of glass & steel. The rural earthen design & ambiance, traditional crafts bazzar, rural music, folk dances, puppet shows etc gives the place a very rural hinterland ambiance. They have recreated the rural western India successfully in Ahmedabad. You can enjoy food in a traditional way sitting on the floor... More
Vishala is a unique experience ... it really transforms you into a bygone era. The decor, setting, ambiance is like a village and even the food is served in traditional way. Little similar to Chowki Dhani concept near Jaipur ... You must visit this place when you are in Ahmedabad.
the only place where you can pass very good time like 2 to 3 hours , as there children can play and also some show , you can dance on folk music (garba) , original treditional gujarati food with very good quality . also there is good museum ,
Amazing place, have to get to know the process once you go inside though -- pay and then wait for your name to be called. If you miss this, you'll be running around trying to get a hold of the right guy. Once you're taken to the waiting area (campfire in our case), they'll give you a nice refreshing drink.... More
