Have had meals here more than a couple of times. The food is good here, though on the expensive side. However, when you take into consideration all the overheads the owner has to cover it is justified. Try the spicy lentil curry with fried fish and rice, it was totally delicious!! Do carry your insect repellent with you (I always... More

I do't normally like to give bad reviews, but O'Coqueiro is overrated. I guess it gets such high praise because it is the only western friendly restaurant in town and it purports to be a portugiese restaurant. The food is at best average, uninteresting tourist fare. The setting is nice in the garden, but the owners are slightly disinterested, athough... More

This is one of the two places that we read about and was still around. Most other restaurants and bars had shut down years before. In a quiet bylane, you might almost miss O'Coquiero because it is so unassuming, but you shouldn't because the food is delicious. Try the butter garlic calamari, cooked to perfection, the shark curry and the... More

Friendly staff and a simple but very tasty menu. Came here twice on my recent weekend visit to Diu, trying both lunch and dinner. Good selection of seafood dishes including a small set of Portuguese style food. Prices were remarkably low.

We came here for dinner and, the following day, came back just to eat a snack mid-morning. The food is very inexpensive but quite good - it revolves around fish and sea food, and it is wonderfully seasoned. The service is very good - and friendly - and, if I may add, the fruit juices were exceptional. If we had... More

The owner and his wife were very welcoming and the food delicious. They serve breakfast catering to Western palates and wonderful fish dishes with no spice, if that's what you want

This restaurant was recommended by our pocket guide and we were not disappointed. We had a nice chat with Pandey the chef and owner of this place. We took the fish platter, freshly prepared. Atmosphere was nice and cosy.

Great Little restaurant, great food, great people, great atmosphere and great prices. What more could you want? A gem of restaurant, thank you Khailesh for a great time and fond memories. We spent Divali here and had a great time setting off fireworks with the other customers and the family that run the place.

Having read good reviews about the resaurant on Trip Advisor we went for lunch. There was nothing Portuguese about the place. It is run by a couple from Kumaon hills who have no idea about portuguese food. Request TripAdvisor to link ratings to an authencity scale. Very disappointing

We were in Diu and were looking for a restaurant offering authentic Portuguese food. We put it on Google search and the first link which popped up was to O’coquerio. The restaurant is not that popularly known amongst the natives so we had to do a fair bit of enquiry about its whereabouts. It’s located on the Diu main island,... More
