The food is really good, fresh prepared and the owners are really friendly. I've been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I would say that this restaurant is unique in India. The chef mixes the cuisine of the Diu's Portuguese descendants with Indian taste and it is excellent! It was so good, that we went there 5 times in 3 days! The food is always super fresh and the ambiance friendly and relaxed. Try the prawns pakora, they are the best... More
This family runs a small heaven in Diu. They are very helpful, and made their best to please any little desire. We had some of the best king prawns ever, and some of the best moments in our vacation. Thank you, Mr Kailash!
The island of Diu, former Portuguese colony, is a small and friendly place. This restaurant serves fresh food at a fair price, and is worth a visit. I was however disappointed by several European customers who brought in their own liquor (Diu has some of the cheapest in India), hiding the bottles under the table.
Everyone we asked @how to reach O'Coqueiro commented that they hadn't heard the name which was surprising for a TA no1(then) rated place. As we walked in we were surprised to find some neatly laid out tables in a place resembling the courtyard of a house. It was too small to be called a restaurant, home eat would be a... More
This is a nice place to relax on a lazy morning or evening. The food is fresh and tasty, the beer cold and the coffee strong. The music is fantastic - a very electic mix of tunes that complement the meal well. And the growing stack of used books is a delight to raid. All in all, a very good... More
Best in Diu, if you care for good seafood in a relax environment. There are sort of formal and expensive hotel restaurants, this is just in the right Diu atmosphere for travelers, offering also some simple meals less expensive.
We had 3 meals at O'Coqueiro around Christmas and all of them were great! The service is very personal and the focus is entirely on the food. The seafood was amazingly fresh and cooked perfectly. I would return whenever I am in Diu next.
The courtyard of a small house is converted into the restaurant. The food is nice, cooked by the family in its kitchen. They maintain cleanliness and hence it is a safe and nice place to try some Portuguese food.
