Nice, good food, wonderful atmosphere.

This is one of our standard places in Alamogordo. The setting is an old house, converted into a small restaurant. The food has always been very good and the wait staff make you feel like you are right at home. Sometimes I have felt that the prices are a little high for what you get, but we... read more

Was recommended this restaurant by our receptionist at the hotel we stayed at. Everyone working was so nice and seemed to really care about the customers. The food was absolutely delicious and the tea tasted so fresh. Hearing about the history of the place was also a plus. Would definitely recommend this place to anybody who is visiting Alamogordo and... More

Doing business in an old converted Victorian style house, on New York Ave, in Alamogordo, this is a pleasant and tasty place for that quiet interlude. I really enjoy the stuffed flounder and the, wine selection is just right. Service is attentive , without being intrusive and the atmosphere is peaceful. For lunch try the sweet potato fries, goes great... More

About a month ago my wife and I wanted a really nice lunch and decided on "Memories". (There aren't any good restaurants here in Alamogordo NM). We had eaten there several years ago and had two of the driest tenderloins (ordered medium and they were over cooked way past well-done) and overpriced, but wanted to give it a try again.... More

We went to this restaurant based on the reviews here on trip advisor. Service was great. It is in an old house so the setting is pretty cool. The food was just ok. We had friend zucchini with marinara and ranch. The sauce had a lot of pepper in it and the actual zucchini had kind of a funny taste... More

Memories? A historic, charming building, with more than a hint of eccentricity. Attentive, engaging and polite staff serving a menu of some variety amid an atmosphere that, whilst not buzzing, was busy and convivial. The food was well cooked and presented, though I agree the portions are not so generous. Depending on ones menu selections, it can be fairly expensive... More

Fair food, small portions and definitely way overpriced. Okay service but not super friendly. The ribeye's were only about 2/3 the size indicated on the menu and had far too much fat on them. With tip was $103 for a family of 4 without appetizers. Wouldn't recommend for super hungry money conscious folks.

I was extremely disappointed with my most recent trip to Memories. I have been there several times before and loved it but that was several years ago. My wife and I recently moved back to my home town of Ruidoso, NM and I couldn't wait to take her here. I have fond memories of luncheons with my mother and grandmother... More

We celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary here. We mentioned it was our anniversary when making reservations and were met with a great quiet table in the south dining room. They even adorned the table with celebratory confetti!! The food is very good and they pride themselves that each item is "special". It is a nice restaurant for that special evening... More

This beautiful old two-story home has been wonderfully transformed into an elegant dining venue. It is quiet, relaxed, yet maintaining a VERY comfortable atmosphere. Dining areas range from the 'living room' to a sun porch to the open front porch, each being exactly right to fit your mood at the moment. Service is EXCELLENT, the menu options are quite varied...
