What a Surprise!

You can smell the place before you even enter it - Yum, BBQ. It is kind of a funky place since you pick out what you want to eat sort of cafeteria style. But the food was FANTASTIC and lots of it. Could not complain there! And reasonably priced. If you don't mind serving yourself cafeteria... read more

We visited the Saturday before Easter Sunday 2015. We were on our way back to Las Cruces from the Trinity Site and came back through Alamogordo for the express purpose of eating here. My family had eaten here previously and couldn’t stop talking about how good it is. They were absolutely right. They offer an amazing variety of dry-rubbed, smoked/barbecued... More

Lots of BBQ meat selections here - I was there on a Saturday evening an hour before closing. The ribs and BBQ chicken were already wrapped up in saran wrap for the night (or something - I hate to think that it was being saved for the next day!) Lots of steam tables filled with brisket, carnitas, pulled pork, etc.... More

Stopped in for lunch and were we were tested to great food and at a good value. My wife and I shared Pete's pick which was a sampler of ribs, brisket, pulled pork and sausage. With two sides and a drink we were full when we finished the meal. The dry ribs had a very good rub and were tender... More

Everything here LOOKED delicious...however there is so much black paper on the chicken breast that it is nearly inedible. The mac and cheese was over cooked and the potatoes have tons of peppercorn on them. The cobbler looked amazing however we each had a bite of peach and blackberry and they were not good at all. The trip tip was... More

My family and I have eaten at quite a few barbeque places. Overall, this place was just average. The sausage actually tasted better without the sauce.

Flavor of the meat can't be beat! We enjoyed the lunch special sandwich meal and all enjoyed a healthy portion of meat. Chicken, brisket, and carnitas topped the list. Sausage was ok. Friendly staff and outdoor patio was nice.

Eating in for a meal with friends was less than spectacular, but still highly recommend the sausage links and the amazingly delightful cobblers, I recommend you eat dessert first! The turkey leg was slightly dry, but more than capable of filling up even the hungriest person. The only disappointment was the corn muffins, sad too, because it's a staple item... More

We were really glad to find this place. Our meals were great, and we took nearly half of it home for another meal. Cheap, too.
