Not much in the way of atmosphere or service but pretty good food. Based on very mixed reviews from TripAdvisor, my wife and I had lunch at Can't Stop Smoking BBQ while visiting Alamogordo. There was no beer available and the brisket, sausage and ribs I tried were not as good as BBQ meals I've enjoyed in Texas and various... More

We were driving through town the day before Thanksgiving, and needed a bite after a long morning of traveling. We happened upon this place and stopped in. We got lucky in that they were closing shortly for the holiday. Wife had pulled pork sandwich, and I had combo of brisket, sausage, side of beans, corn and corn bread. The meat... More

We stopped by on our way through Alamogordo hoping for some good food. The service I must say was great and the prices were reasonable - but - the food was just not good. The chicken was so dry I had to coat it in sauce, the sausage was cold, and the ribs were mediocre at best. The green beans... More

I was very disappointed with this place. It was a self serve place and there was not even a menu or was there any indication of what was in the hot trays or what were the prices. The gal standing at the counter really did not care if she could help or did she try to explain how the system... More

This was a family style restaurant- large tables with extra BBQ sauce in several heat levels. The choice of meats and sides was remarkable: several types of chicken, pork, ribs, brisket, sausage. Two types of cobbler- peach and blackberry. Sides like corn on the cob (not the best time of year for this), macaroni and cheese, potato salad, two types... More

Stopped here for lunch. Very pleasant surprise. Staff was great, helpful, courteous and just plain friendly. Beware: Their small servings are like most other people's large servings. Food was great. Typical BBQ joint but only in the appearance. I would definitely stop back for lunch and/or dinner.

Coming from the opinion of a meat connoisseur, this meat was the best I have ever had. The brisket and pulled pork were to die for. A passionate staff and great food. A must stop if you are in Almogordo!

We ate here for dinner and for $9, we got enough food to feed two people! They have several plates to choose from and a wide selection of BBQ to pick from. I would highly recommend eating here!
