On our way from Texas to California we stopped for gas in Alamogordo. when we asked the attendant where to eat, we replied McDonalds. When we asked for a local place, 4 people in the place said HI-D-HO! Great burgers - add the grilled onions and jalapeños!

When I found out that we would be heading to Alamogordo over the Cristmas break I started looking at Tripadvisor to get an overview of what was there. I spotted the Hi-D-Ho and made a mental note to give it a try and I'm glad we did. Friendly staff and great food make this a must stop in Alamogordo. You... More

Tiger Burger is juice and just plain ole good. If you haven't been there you need to go. If you are in a hurry this is not a fast food place. Burgers are cooked to order and hot when you get them.

Limited indoor seating as most every one uses the car hop service or the undercover picnic tables. Lot of call in orders from the locals. Rest room is very tiny, unisex and hard to find. The food was fresh, several of us had the tiger burger meal and liked it,, not too greasy.

This is an Alamogordo must- and a place people remember when they move away. It has been there for at least 50 years and people still talk about the Tiger Burger like it is an old friend. The food is good, service is good- but most of all it is the nostalgia of the place. Great for a lunch on... More

Ok I was a little hesitant pulling up but when I saw the crowd I knew it was going to be good. We walked up and didn't know whether to sit down or go in and order but our waitress brought us some paper menu's and took the order. Let me just say the Tiger Burger with Green Chili was... More

We went for burgers based on reviews. Nothing really notable. We did order lemon squeezes which came with salt on top. I assume this was a mistake (our waitress was new). Needless to say salt and lemon juice is a pretty terrible combination but I think that was a fluke.

I love Hi-D-Ho. I don't know if Leslie still works there but I went to high school with her. Love the cherry limeades and the green chile cheeseburgers. They are not super fast but every burger is freshly prepared and they are so good!
