Chips are average, salsa is out of the jar. Food was OK but not hot or spicy. Try peppers grill to the north on White Sands Blvd.

Food and service were horrible. Orders were wrong. Food was nasty. Flies all around. I see why the staff were eating outside food bc they know the food is gross.

Went there for a late lunch. The staff was extremely friendly, the prices very reasonable but the food was average. Even so, I'd still come back.

The restaurant is now run by a new owner & is called Miss Lily's. I've been there & the food is much like what was served at Tia Lupe's, but with some differences as one might expect. The prices are still reasonable. It's near to "old town" . It is a meeting place for locals, so you know the foods... More

If only the food was as good as the service. My chicken Taco Salad was the worst I have ever had - totally bland with not good tasting chicken and hardly any cheese. Unfortunately my Margarita was poor too. My partner's meal of chicken tamales was OK and luckily he drinks bottled beer. The restaurant is clean but the decor... More

As a native New Mexican I am very critical of red and green chile. Tia Lupe's did a satisfactory job at fulfilling my chile fix. The service was even better than the food. From Albuquerque with love.

On a recent trip to Ruidoso, NM our party took a day trip to White Sands National Monument. On our way back to our Ruidoso cabin we stopped for dinner at Tia Lupe's in Alamogordo. First let me say that we are Texans, but we understand the difference between Tex-Mex and New Mexico Mexican food. We have eaten many delicious... More

We only had a short time for dinner and Tia Lupes" was delicious. They make their own salsa which was very good. The enchiladas were great.

I really enjoyed my meal! They have fantastic complementary chips with pico de gallo. I had their stuffed sopapilla and it was great. Their chicken dishes are also fantastic. If you are craving Mexican, this is a great place to go.
