I have lived in Alamogordo for 3 years and this was my first time at Stella Vita...wish I would've found this place sooner! The room itself is tastefully decorated with lovely lighting (no harsh, bright, fluorescence bulbs); only thing needing an upgrade are the cafeteria style chairs. We had stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and they were delicious followed by... More

Stella Vita's advertises as a dinning restaurant, however not Friday night. We had early reservations and there was only 2 other tables being served. My wife's soup was so salty she couldn't eat it, the rest of her meal (ribeye) was just okay.... I ordered the filet which was just okay too and the sides came at just better than... More

This was one of the darkest/ dreariest restaurants in which we have dined anywhere on the planet, giving new meaning to minimalism. The lighting was like being in a dungeon and there are no windows in this restaurant if you happen to be claustrophobic. The interior palette was boring tan and brown with no other color, design or interest anywhere... More

Nice, quiet, and classy atmosphere. Any meal is good. Don't necessarily need to dress up or be fancy to eat here.

The only reason I say uptown is because it is a fancy restaurant. They have very good food, quiet dining and not a bad place to eat. Probably the nicest dining place in town.

We were in town for just one night and visited Stella Vita due to the reviews on Tripadvisor. It is a very nice restaurant with upscale, modern big-city feel to the dining room. There was pleasant classical music playing throughout the meal. It was mostly empty as we were there just before closing (9 pm) on a Saturday night. The... More

For whatever reason my experience of this restaurant was very different from others. I was there on a Saturday night, just before 8 PM and the place was largely deserted with little atmosphere. The soup (mushroom) was excellent but the steak was mediocre at best; lacking in flavor and chewy (not in a positive way). I'm baffled as to how... More

Enjoyed this restaurant. My waiter Brandon was personable and knowledgable about the menu. The crab cakes were delicious with the Asian salad. Chefs pasta special of shrimp artichokes and feta was ok. Pasta was al dente but very monochromatic white looking. Taste was good. Artichokes were left off by mistake but my waiter had the chef supply them later. Bread... More

What a pleasant surprise. A really class spot in downtown Alamogordo, but casual enough for everyone to enjoy. Everything was perfect. They have done a wonderful job decorating one of the lovely old downtown buildings. It's simple chic - it could be a bistro in Miami Beach or San Francisco. But fortunately, it’s in our little town of Alamogordo. You... More

We had stopped for the night in Alamogordo, read the TA reviews for Stella Vita and decided to gice it a try for a mid-week dinner. We arrived at the address and had to get out of the car and walk around the old shopping area before we actually found the restaurant. The sign is very small and is turned... More
