At the end of our stay in French Polynesia we spend one nigt in Manava Suite Resort Tahiti. As most places in Fr.Pol very expensive. Nice, fast service, exellent food. Especially different kinds of thuna fish.

We were pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed our meals 'in a hotel restaurant' we had the confit duck, trois Polynesians tuna (a must to eat tuna in French Polynesia!), salmon which was eye catching and innovative in taste and a French onion soup, they also had three types of fresh warm rolls which were free and could have had... Our entree's and main's were the best of our trip to Tahiti. Service however was very slow. Were seated with only the wine list for a long period of time with no attention. Had to ask for a menu. But once the food came out - all was forgiven. Lovely!

We recently stayed at the Manava Suite Resort and had lunch at the Vaitohi. We sat outside, under a trellis (they could use some overhead fans to move the air more). It was an elegant French restaurant with excellent service and food. We tried a fish dish and found it very tasty and creative - we were in awe! We... More

We were expecting a lot. The Vaitohi restaurant looked impressive but failed to deliver to expectations. Our meal here was reasonable but not special, with the exception of the prices.....they were exceptionally dear. We ate outside and were troubled by the available light, it was very poor and this contributed to us getting the wrong wine. In a country that... More

My wife and I dined there. We shared an appetizer: it wasn't the goat cheese or the pine nuts that made it unique. Certainly it wasn't the mixed greens. Rather it was the goat cheese served warm inside what reminded me of wontons. Fabulous! My entree was a concoction of chevrettes (fresh water shrimp) inside dumplings with a light beef... More

We just popped ashore to grab some provisions and stopped for happy hour, which turned into dinner. The location is authentic, the service cultural and the food has a great local flavour to it. Had the mahi-mahi and few boeuf entrecotes with roquefort cheese sause. Just yum. The setting sun and large tankards of Hinano and local rum cocktails, just... More

Had a wonderful dinner and buffet breakfast at this restaurant. Food was very nice and fresh with seating outside as well as inside. It was nice eating outside in the open air.

Given this was our only choice for dining at the hotel, we walked in hungry with no predetermined thoughts. After dinner, I'd have to say it was one of our best meals in French Polynesia! The gnocchi was likely the best I ever had. Service was good but not over the top attentive. It is certainly a bright spot for... More

While at the hotel, my wife and I decided to eat breakfast at the Vaitohi. The choices were Continental and American plan buffets. Since we are Americans. We chose the American plan. This set us back 3000 French Pacific Francs each. (Currently $32 per person, ouch.) The buffet consisted of omelettes (plain premade) bacon, sausage, haricot verts, scrambled eggs, fruit,... More
