We enjoyed two meals during our week at Le Meridien and both were excellent. The staff were attentive and friendly. Thanks to Tahiti being in French Polynesia, the wine list was much better than we'd expected. The view is beautiful and the food is very good. I'd give this five stars, but did feel that it was just a bit... More

We ate at Le Carré twice. The food and service were excellent. Portions were reasonable, not enormous as we often found in Tahiti. Expensive, but appropriate for the quality.

We were in French Polynesia (Tahiti and Bora Bora) second half of March and had some amazing and unforgettable culinary experiences, this time it was on Tahiti Nui, winding up our Polynesian adventure, this time it was a French/Polynesian fusion, exquisite and delicate flavors... Started out with quickly seared, sashimi styled beef with Japanese ponzu sauce. This was followed by... More

We were there with my wife for my birthday. The atmosphere and the view were good. We could see the beach and the stars in the night. They got a small lounge area where you could drink a cocktail before dinning. Our waiter was kind and gave us some suggestions. The menu was so large that we just took the... More

The restaurant is on the grounds of the Le Meridien Papeete and we decided to go there for lunch to get out of the extreme heat, and to avoid having the hassle of finding somewhere to eat at short notice. The place is ideally located adjacent to the lagoon and the resort's pool area. We were one of very few... More

I must admit the "Le Carre" is an excellent dining choice in French Polynesia. The menu choices are exquisite, the design of the options is very unique and the flavors are simply delicious. They have several dishes that explore how the different flavors in the ingredients can be used, The price of the restaurant is not low cost, nor is... More

Great service, really great food. Cathy had the lamb and I had the pork belly. Presentation was really good and the taste superb. Followed by a marvellous chocolate creation. The wine was from the Haut Medoc and excellent. The ambience was lovely with a full moon over our shoulder. Recommended.

We were so disappointed that we had to walk away from this restaurant. We had made reservations for dinner as we were staying at the property and liked the menu. We were terribly disappointed by the rude and confrontational behavior of the host, Dominic, that we walked away. We took our business to a restaurant of the property. I think... More
