Good food - odd locale

This place is a nice change of pace with a blend of french, Asian, and seafood. The chef's chow mein (which included shrimp) was very good. The location is just a little odd being right next to the gym.

Le Mahogany was relatively close to the Sofitel, so that was a plus. The staff was nice as well. The seafood, however, wasn't out of this world. It was good, and it was cooked nicely, but I wasn't wowed by anything, particularly because this is one of the go-to places. In any case, if I could I would go back... More

The concierge at the Hilton recommended this place to us so we gave it a shot. They have a complimentary shuttle that picked us up on time. The place was VERY busy when we arrived and more and more people just kept showing up. With that many people visiting I thought the food must be really good. It's not. I... More

We visited Le Mahogany for dinner one night. They provide hotel pickup services which is great. The food is average price, a pretty decent meal but we didn't go back. The premises were somewhat dated, hot (no AC), felt like we were being attacked by bugs. Food is good here but we didn't really LOVE it. Service was great though!

We used the free pickup and drop off from our hotel, the Sofitel. The restaurant was quite busy, which is always a good sign. I had the tourist menu, which from memory was 4900 xpf for three courses. I had a delicious entree of avocado and prawns. Followed by a steak which was again very good. My wife had prawns... More

We had an amazing meal the first visit to the Mahogany Grill. The seafood was fresh and very good, the wine was beautiful and the desserts were amazing! The food was so good we made sure that we visited a second time before leaving Moorea. A must visit restaurant!

this spot is a little hidden but offers free transport from hotels (or at least it did from the Moorea Pearl Resort). The steak was absolutely unreal with red sauce and butter and garlic. My mouth waters just thinking about it. I have to say, this is the third spot we ate out at on this island and we have... More

I think this is a family owned restaurant and everything from the free pick up and drop off service, to the service and food was excellent! We enjoyed ourselves so much we opted to eat there again the last night we were on the island! It should be on everyone's

Overall, we had a great time at Le Mahogany. We really enjoyed the change in menu compared to some of the other restaurants and both ordered Chinese. We also got the profiteroles for dessert which were excellent. The food and service were great but it seemed somewhat expensive given there was absolutely no view. This was one of our most... More
