Solid local favorite

I'd like to go back and try more dishes. This was nearly the only time I've ordered anything but fish during our 4 weeks on the island. I had the duck confit (baked with mashed potatoes, bit of a different spin) and quite enjoyed it. We were outside on a windy night but were all comfortable... read more

Was great to make use of the free shuttle and get out of the resort. The trip is 15 minutes from the Hilton to the restaurant. The service was great and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was ok - my husband was not a fan of his main which was the prawn curry but I loved my... More

We ate here during our Moorea honeymoon stay at the Hilton. We arranged reservations with the Hilton desk and the Le Mahogany shuttle picked us up and dropped us off after dinner. We heard and read prior that the Chow Mein here was excellent. That being said neither of us could not order the Chow Mein so we both had... More

We visited Le Mahogany on our return to Moorea. The food is delicious and service very nice. Like all restaurants on the island, they offer free transportation to/from your hotel. By French Polynesian standards, it is mid-range. Our meal, including appetizers and desert, was about $85. I had the special of the day, skip jack, and my wife had the... More

We loved this restaurant. Reasonable prices, high quality food, very good service, transport to and from the Hilton all made this a great experience. Plus the open air vibe really made this place unique and made you feel like you were on an exotic island (you are). They had an extensive wine list. I'm a beer guy and they had... More

A very nice meal for a family of five. Four of us had the Chinese food which was absolutely delicious. My youngest had the rack of lamb which was fantastic. This is a very nice place to eat and reasonable value. We had one main course and two carafes of wine for £25 a head. Well worth a visit.

Price-wise this place is comparable to the rest of the island. We enjoyed our first dinner so much we came for a second during our week on the island - tired of fish and rice and fish and rice we ordered the steak (both times) with the blue cheese sauce as one of our entrees. Our first time we ordered... More

We were driven to Le Mahogany in the complimentary shuttle, by a very amusing and interesting driver. We were surprised at the selections, as this was our first night on the island. Seemed pricy at first but definitely in line with other establishments. I had beef and vegetables with rice, which was very good. Most in our party enjoyed their... More

We both chose parrot fish as our main entrée. It was cooked meniure style. My fish was a bit overcooked but still delicious. Potatoes, rice and plantains accompany this fish and there was so much to eat.

Parallel menus of Polynesian and Chinese. Tried one from column A and one from Columbia B. Neither was particularly special.
