Watch the sharks and stingrays as you eat

The owner picked us up from our hotel, the Sofitel. He told us he had arrived in Moorea in 1974. He didn't seem to do the cooking anymore, but provided any information we needed. It was quite quiet the night we were there. I had been here ten years ago and remembered the patio on the water where... read more

We planned on going elsewhere for dinner but needed reservations. We stopped here and the service right away was poor. Ordered wine/took awhile to get then he opens the wine and puts the cork with the wine opener on the table and leaves? Does not come back for a bit so we pour our own wine and put his wine... More

The French fare here is superb, the staff very helpful and friendly and the location is lovely, with a beautiful deck where you can see the rays being fed. We were staying at the Intercontinental about 25 kms away, but they still offered us free transport for the return home. Very hospitable

This restaurant is quaint and adorable. The owner personally picked us up from the Hilton and drove us home. They seated us right at the edge of the overwater deck so we were able to see 2 different kind of sharks, sting rays and other fish while they fed them. The food was delicious. I got the Chevre salad and... More

Te Honu Iti was the best "authentic" Tahitian/French meal of our 9 day vacation on Moorea. Unfortunately, it was pour rain during our entire dinner so we had to eat inside, but it looks like they have a nice patio area with outdoor seating (weather permitting). The food was absolutely phenomenal. We ordered the french onion soup and foie gras... More

The view is spectacular. The food was outstanding. We started with the Chèvre salad and onion soup, but the stand out was definitely the Quenelles de poisson sauce langoustine, a mixture of shrimp and creamed Mahi Mahi with a silky soufflè-like texture in a rich but not heavy lobster sauce. Bravo! We read reviews critical of the service, but we... More

Roger, the chef and owner, personally picked us up from our hotel and drove us to his restaurant. You sit outdoors on a charming patio which feels like a French/Danish/Tahitian experience all at the same time. The staff was so warm and we met Roger's son and wife who are both on-site. The food was incredible...fish, pasta, salads, fresh bread,... More

Based on the positive reviews here we decided to visit this restaurant. The interier is very nice with lot of pictures and statues. From our table we could see the sharks, rays and jumping fishes swimming around. We had fish and shrimp raviolli and seafood platter. Both meals were delicious, also nicely decorated on the plate, one of the best... More

This small waterfront hotel was closed the first time we tried to visit (we walked) and we were frustrated because publications and TripAdvisor did not advise that it was closed -- I think it was a Monday evening. We returned after hearing glowing recommendations from others at our hotel. We found the decor to be simple and unassuming. Service is... More

This place was OK! The main point is the poor service ... the waiter who served us also seemed to be busboy, dishwasher and generally everything, We ordered wine, and had to go find him to remember ... and when we needed him we had to find him. Rarely stopped by .... the food was GREAT though!
