Two visits here in a week. We tried puddle ducks and were left disappointed as it didn't live up to the "hype." I would recommend the scampi upstairs which was a Thai king prawn curry and the steaks were amazing. The service was top rate and you really were made to feel special. Give it a go. You won't get... Generally always ensure one visit to this restaurant when in El Gouna for a weeks Diving. I had Lobster soup for starters, which was OK but not actually very tasty this visit. Then followed this with the Camel Curry, which was actually a lovely meal with very tender pieces of Camel. Well worth a try.....although my friends Surf & Turf... More

A lovely restaurant in busy downtown area of El Gouna. Upstairs never disappoints and the food and service is excellent. We have visited many times, a very small criticism is that the menu never changes!

Visited here twice during our recent 2 weeks in El Gouna, excellent meal both times on par with fine dining at home but half the price. Highly recommend this place for an excellent meal with attentive and friendly staff.

El Gouna has many wonderful restaurant's but in its top ten there are three which standout, they are Maritime, in the Marina with views over the fantastic elite yachts, Jo Bo's which has a fun sports atmosphere, but rising above them all is Upstairs, its ideal location located in the middle of Down Town. It has ambiance oozing from every... More

We ate here twice during our 11 day stay in el gouna. The service is excellent and the food very good too. Particularly like the complimentary garlic bread and hors d'oevres. The waiter was so friendly and well mannered. We'll definitely go back on our next visit to el gouna.

I tried this restaurant mainly because it looked a little bit more classy than others in the area. As you can see from the pictures it has a French look about it. I wasn't disappointed with that aspect at all, the tables have skirts with fresh white cotton tablecloths and napkins. After ordering I was presented with a little nibble... More

We have been visiting Upstairs for many years, in it's current location and in it's previous location when it really was Upstairs. And even though there are several restaurants that are now close to the mark, it is still our favourite restaurant in El Gouna. The service, food, atmosphere, welcome and facilities were all brilliant. It's nice that the price... More
