Six of us come here every year for dinner, while we're spending a couple of weeks in Stone Harbor. It is the best restaurant in the Avalon/Stone Harbor area. Excellent, well-prepared food in a comfortable setting. BYOB, but that's not a problem as there's a liquor store next door, so the wine list is what you make it and you... More

Every dish was flawlessly executed and presented making this one of my most memorable meals down the shore. All 4 of us relished the flavors, textures of all their cuisine. This is a keeper.

Thanks to other reviews on TripAdvisor and Open Table, we knew to bring our own bottle. Once we found parking and the entrance, we were seated immediately at our reservation time. Very professional and attentive wait staff. The menu was extensive with excellent additions. We thoroughly enjoyed the Black Bean soup but the portion was too big for an appetizer... More

Frequented many area restaurants in the area over the many years we have vacationed in Avalon. No other place comes close to the quality and innovative flavors and presentations. It is more expensive than the average but definitely worth the extra cost. Never have I had a bad meal in the decades I have visited. Not a place for kids... More

We had dinner here last night for the first time with another couple. The lobster appetizer was fabulous, as were the steamers and beets/goat cheese app. Scallops were amazing, lamb chops, salmon, and grouper special were perfect. Service was excellent. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant, and we can't wait to go back and bring more friends!

The food here is dependably good--I had the bronzino, and my husband had the filet on potato rounds and the seafood bisque. The filet was cooked perfectly, and the bronzino was flaky and flavorful For the first time, I was disappointed with the bisque--not as smooth and creamy as it's been in the past. For dessert, we had the ginger... More

We went there and there were six of us for dinner. We got a nice corner table and the owner and staff were very friendly and provided good service throughout the evening. The food is very good as are the portion sizes. It is on the pricey end but the portions and food quality make up for it. I will... More

We have dined here many times over the past decade, and have reviewed it several times. These folks are incapable of serving an average meal. Last night was no exception. My wife had seafood bisque and halibut. I had pan roasted duck breast after a goat cheese/roasted beet carpaccio. Both were excellent in flavor and presentation, nicely spiced. Our desserts... More

This is our second trip to Cafe Loren and we would go again. It's more pricey and dressy than other Avalon restaurants but we always spend our anniversary in Avalon and it's a nice place to go for that special celebration. Though I say it's dressy, what I mean is dressier than other resort restaurants though my husband did wear jeans... More
