Ate an early dinner at the Princeton Bar and Grill tonight with my wife, children and grandchildren. Very nice and very pleasant - I was positively surprised. We arrived before 6 pm and immediately got a table on the deck facing Dune Drive. We ordered crab cakes, tuna rolls, calamari, New England clam chowder (made in house), and other assorted... More

This restaurant is a big one physically, filling an entire building on Dune Drive (main shopping street) . The menu is broad and the food served in timely and appealing way. My party of eight got a seat on the outside deck. Otherwise it would have felt like dinner in a cavern. All that said, the atmosphere was friendly, the... More

After going to the Princeton since 1989 I am no longer a customer. The semi-nice restaurant has lost me and my family as patrons. We went last week and after my legal daughter and her legal friend were served at the bar.....our waitress must have narked because the Staff bouncer came to our table. My 18 year old daughter was... Sushi I had, two different kinds. Both seemed pre prepared. Rice was hard and dry. Fish was okay. Mongolian beef... Not sure it started as beef. But sauce and salt were so overbearing, hard to tell... Cashew chicken...too saucy...too salty... Crab cake...okay Crab cocktail.tasted okay.smelled fishy

This is obviously the place to go out. I ate dinner here for the first time, in part because you can avoid $10 cover if you eat dinner here. My scallops were excellently cooked, but had sat too long before served because they were like warm. The tuna tartare was excellent, as we're the conch fritters. Despite that my scallops... More

Great location in Avalon, nice atmosphere for seating inside and out. Enjoy a drink. Don't touch the food. Dreadful. Bit of reputation as party bar.

When the server tells u she is "over worked" from a long summer, maybe that was a clue.it also fit my over cooked burger,.over cooked and dismal presentation of a crab cake which my friend wanted to send back. the rest of our over priced food on two visits by the same group of couples, all agreed over was word, but... In October 2013, I had lunch at this sports bar along with a few friends. While the interior atmosphere is nothing special, the service and the food were good. The restaurant appeared to be locally popular with many "regulars" warmly greeted as they entered the restaurant. Being a sports bar, the noise level was fairly high but my guests and I... More

Have had beers here for four decades and have seen the changes and transformations. The "P" is Avalon. The summer has diversity of rooms and styles of eating. It is still an all year place and has many of the locals and regulars.Food is good and prices are decent. If you go to Avalon , you have to go to the Princeton
