Decent but pricey food

Food was decent but pricey which is expected of a touristy place. Good portion sizes. We went for dinner and the place was packed. So service was a bit slow but acceptable.

We visited here twice - they take credit cards- I was delighted both times as were the rest of my family. The desserts are homemade - the maracuya pie was delicious as was 'torta de chocolate'. My favourite was 'atún a la pimienta'. My husband and one of my children had steak which they said was good. My youngest the... More

My mom and I went here twice while in the Galapagos, partially because we quickly needed WiFi, but the food was always good and the service was great! I had two pasta dishes that were really good. And we both tried the apple pie which was awesome. The place had a great atmosphere and is located off the main road... More

Seafood dish with rice is what I ordered and nicely arranged received. Good red house wine but overall rather expensive.

We ate at La Garrapata restaurant in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island, during our visit to the Galapagos. The grilled wahoo with homemade BBQ sauce was cooked perfectly, firm but succulent, with a heady smoked flavor from the open-fire grill. A local picanté sauce accompanied the crunchy cole slaw and fried potatoes. We finished with a moist chocolate cake and... More

We fell into here by accident because the restaurant we were initially seated in didn't have several items listed in the menu. It was so good that we returned a second time two nights later. Unfortunately, my mind is a blur of restaurants and hotels since returning home, so I can't recall exactly what I ate (I think it was... More

Loved this outdoor restaurant! Great food and people! So enjoyed meeting Diego and Paola who work there. They took great care of us! We had a bday dinner there with our fellow Galapagos cruise friends and Diego surprised us by decorating the table. Fun place to hang out and people watch.

Relaxed nice open place on the main (kind of pedestrian) road. First impression was bad as the waiter seemed totally unhelpful but the next waiter was fantastic! Friendly service and great advice. The starters were full of flavour and texture (ceviche and fried plantains) but on the mains we were split: my tuna was awesome...I am still raving about it!... More

Restaurant and bar on the main drag through the town. Menu looked good, though we didn't eat here. Did enjoy a couple of nicely made pisco sours and enjoyed watching tourists and locals along Avenue Charles Darwin. As elsewhere in the Galapagos, prices are what you'd pay in the U.S. for similar items; unlike some other places in the islands,... More
