This is the best fish I've ever had but not so great service. Still worth it to get the amazing food.

Our first meal upon arriving on Santa Cruz, the restaurant is open-air, with a small-pebble gravel floor, on Puerto Ayora's main street (Charles Darwin Ave.). Fresh ceviche, served in a more than ample bowl, along with pisco sours - both were delicious!

We ate there everyday during our stay in Galapagos islands! We tried two differents restaurants as well but they were not as good as garrapata! Service is very good and fast, and above all the food is delicious! Vegetable are cooked perfectly and the fish is yummy! Tonight we had a band playing typical music as well, very very nice... More

I was at La Garrapata with two friends end of August. The restaurat was full and we were asked to wait for 10 min, but the waiter, and I guess owner, gave the first available table to other people which doubled our waiting time. Apart from this inconvenience the cevice was good as well as the main course, we ordered... More

This was the first place my husband and I ate in the Galapagos. The staff was helpful and the food was good, but overpriced for South America.

Nice place with one side open to the street. Good food, what I liked the most was the fresh and crispy vegetables, it's the best vegetables I have had in Peru/Ecuador!

We ate there twice and were not disappointed. The food is good, and the seafood particularly. Even the desserts are tasty, a feat in Ecuador, apparently. Service is relaxed and smiling.

With its lava rock floors street front location, wonderful food and fabulous cocktails this place is a must for visitors. It is not cheap but our langoustine and the tuna dishes were sensational. We arrived for cocktail half price hour and drinks were great-too great perhaps! Service a bit slow but they were busy!

My husband and I just finished a 10 day stay in Puerto Ayora, and we ate dinner at La Garrapata for 9 of those nights. We would have eaten there for 10 dinners, except for the fact that it was closed on Sundays and we were very sad that night because we had dinner at Cafe del Mar that night... More
