Fabulous Food and Service, ...

We loved the local dishes here. The fish with vegetables Ecuadorian style was really unique and very tasty. Oswaldo was our waiter both times we went and he was really great; fun to talk to and had fun local suggestions on fun places to visit on Santa Cruz island.

This was by far the best restaurant I visited on the tour. I had king prawns[ shrimp] They were delicious. The staff were friendly and I enjoyed the outside atmosphere.

Tonight I went to this restauraunt and there were some fabulous food. We ordered 3 meals, spagetti, chicken, and salad. Mine was a spagetti bolognese. It was so delicious! I added some extra cheese which made the spagetti even more delicious. I tried my other family members's food and they were a tasty. There were lots of other people around... More

La Garrapata is the kind of restaurant where locals and tourists sit side-by-side to eat some of Puerto Ayora's best food. In one lovely encounter, my wife & I even shared a table with a friendly professional from Santa Cruz Island. If the locals choose a restaurant to celebrate their special events at, or if they rave about the food... More

Considering that no one visits Galapagos for the restaurants, this restaurant is about as good as you're going to get in Puerto Ayora. The Pescado Tapado was legitimate, and the service was good enough. If you're staying in Puerto Ayora, this is one of the places you can count on for a solid meal.

Service and environment are a little informal.Eventhough you see the waiters talking with friends or playing with kids, they keep and eye on your needs and the food is great! Be aware that in Galapagos 'langostino' doesn't mean prawn as they called in the mainland, this is a kind of lobster, delicious, Ask for it if you visit

Great, SAFE place to eat in Pto Ayora. Passion fruit pie is awesome (IF they have it!). Had a frozen lemonade, and spaghetti with a LIGHT alfredo sauce and camarones (shrimp). Perfectly done and very good! Sta.ff is very friendly and attentive

Nothing to write home about in terms of service or food. I had the teriyaki tuna which was nice but a bit dry, and my boyfriend had the fish with coconut sauce. This wasn't as nice as other similar fish/ coconut dishes that we had elsewhere as the sauce was bordering on a korma-like consistency and taste. Overall, alright. We... More

We only stopped in a couple of times for a coke but I didn't really see anything grand about the place. The pop was expensive and the staff was not engaged. They showed up and brought our drinks but completely distant. I would not bother to go there again.

Off the main road, this place has fresh food and friendly staff. When you get there forget about the menu and ask for the day's special. Chances are, they have some fresh fish and will prepare it for you. Although this place is pricier than other restaurants we've been too, dinner for 2 will set you back 40-50 bucks. 3.5... More
