Magical and romantic ambiance, fantastic wildlife spotting, great cocktails - food just okay‏

My husband and I had dinner here in July 2014. We took the water taxi over from Puerto Ayora harbor in the very late afternoon/early evening, thinking we’d enjoy the sunset over a few cocktails. However, as the sun went down and the fairy lights were switched on, we gradually progressed from a... read more

Another group recommended we go there and we're glad we did for our final meal. The steak and lobster was amazing, as well as the chocolate cake was very moist. Cocktails were prepared to perfection, service was excellent. Shrimp salad was very good too. Salad, Steak, Lobster, Dessert, 2 Cocktails, 2 glasses of wine $110 out the door and well... More

This restaurant has great outdoor seating overlooking the harbor. It is on the island that has our B&B so we could walk - otherwise take a boat taxi, The food was fresh and delicious, if a little pricey.

The evening begins with a water taxi to the restaurant, then open air dining with a beautiful view of the harbor. Our meals were well prepared and everyone was quite pleased. Nice place! Great views!

Let me first say that my wife and I stayed at this wonderful hotel and had a lovely time. The location, the room, the staff and service were attentive, polite and made every effort to consider our needs, The buffet breakfast was equally delicious and satisfying. All of these comments can be found in my review of the "lodging" portion... More

Very nice place. Hotel and restaurant. Nicely decorated. Fantastic terrasse and point of view on ocean and city. The food was quite expensive for what it was. much better in town. But for once it's worth it.

The water taxi ride over was so cute, and the views from the deck of the restaurant was incredible as the sun set. The drinks and food are alright, but the view is the main attraction here.

We ate here once for lunch and although the food was about average or better, the entire experience is one you cannot miss. Arriving casually by water taxi and the quick ride here through the beautiful harbor is a perfect way to start. Seeing the entire waterfront entrance as you drive up, then exiting the boat and walking up to... More

Not open as of mid-November 2014 and actually looked like it had been closed for a while. I wonder if some people were confusing it with the Angermeyer hotel restaurant which is called La Cueva de Gus (and is quite good)

Hands down, I don't think you can find a nice or quainter place in the Galapagos for a "special occasion" meal. The location - only accessible via water taxi from the main pier - is exceptional. We chose the restaurant based on the unique venue and not the food, but we were pleasantly surprised. This was a our last night... More
