Very good food

The food here was very good. The filet was great....the thick bacon appetizer was great. The salad was good (not great). I am not a fan of crab cakes and I am CERTAINLY not a fan of crab cakes served over what tasted like tartar sauce.

Came in with a big group of guys for my bachelor party and we certainly were not disappointed! I had the House Specialty Gotham steak on the bone and it was absolutely perfect! Seared perfectly, cooked perfectly, not overly seasoned, I was very, very impressed with the steak. The bacon appetizer is one of the best I've had outside of... More

Looked like your average steak house. Apps were good. The problem was when my husband ordered the special for $68. He ordered his meat med rare as well as I did. Mine came out perfect but my husband's came out well done. He sent it back. However, I ate my entire meal before his new meal came out. No apologies... More

This is the best Steakhouse, I have ever eaten at!!! CONSISTENT. I have been to all big steakhouses in New York (Smith Wol, Peter Lugers) Las Vegas(Delmonicos, STK) Old Homestead in AC tops them all to me better food and service than the Original!! Place is always Busy Service: Let me first say the service is impeccable, and spot on... More

Swing, and a miss! Second time and the Old Homestead strikes out. I won't be giving it the opportunity of a third pitch. We were early for a 7pm reservation and happily seated right away. Since we had our fill of summer cocktails during the day, we opted out of the overpriced beverage selections. Two onion soups to start, and... More

It is as good as any NYC steakhouse. The steak was cooked perfectly and I recommend the onion soup as a starter. The salads as large and could easily be shared. The wine list is large and the better wines are very expensive. Ben our server was great

Enjoyed a great dinner here with friends. They offer quite the extensive menu. We decided to order a couple of main dishes and share them, family style. The wait staff in the restaurant is top notch. They are extremely professional and get you smiling from the minute you sit down. We left completely satisfied, having enjoyed an amazing meal of... More

I ordered the gotham, it was a tendon filled, dry, cut of meat. we went on a wednesday night ,perhaps the chef thought he could get away with serving such poor quality, since it wasn't the weekend. I don't get it , when I buy a steak it's easy to see the marbling content .

Absolutely the best steak ever! I had the Gotham bone in ribeye. It melted in my mouth it was delicious. I have ate at Prime 112 in Miami and Boa in Los Angeles and I must say the old homestead is the best. Took mom there and she is a light Eater so she had the lump crab meat appetizer... More
