While not easy to find, or to get a reservation, Chef Vola's is probably the best restaurant in AC. All of the dishes are well prepared and the portions are very generous. Owner Louis Esposito is always on sight to watch over the guests and staff, and the wait staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The dining experience is memorable... More

A true gem of a restaurant continues to excel. It is hard not to order the Veal Parmigiana on the bone, but for the first time in a while I ordered the baked pistachio encrusted salmon with mustard sauce. The salmon was prepared to perfection. Moist and plentiful, enough so that I am having the leftovers tonight. The pasta and... More

I do not like to make a conclusion based on only one trip here our evening started out a little rough in the beginning of the night with a big spill by one of the staff members at our table during the seating (which was truly an accident) but the staff was fantastic in helping clean up and getting our... Four of us had dinner at Chef Volas this past Friday night. Again, one of the best meals I've ever had. One of these visits I will try something other than the Flounder Francaise, hands down my favorite. I have been eating at Chef Volas for over 20 years. In my opinion, this is the best Italian Restaurant in South... More

On vacation in Atlantic City a friend mentioned a great Italian restaurant for dinner. He had been there and was raving. Then he says "but the wait for a reservation is pretty long". I was bummed. He got me so excited about this place and then my dreams of eating there were crushed by that news. So I decided to... More

The food is not all its cracked up to be. I ordered tomatoes with buffalo mozzerella and the tomatoes were tasteless. The dressing for the tomato / mozzerella was weak tasting... nothing special. Main course chicken was tasty but not great. The dessert of blue berry tiramisu pie with almond crust was good. don't see how this place gets rave... More

I've heard about this restaurant for years but never got around to going. Hard to get a reservation. But is was absolutely worth it. The crab cakes are huge and to die for. The veal was the best I've ever had. Portions are quite large. Get some linguini with clam sauce for the table. You won't be disappointed. 25 deserts.... More

This local landmark is one of a kind. It is a cash-only, BYOB, family owned and operated restaurant in the basement of a beach house. Although it is a hit with celebrities, many of whom return whenever they are in the city, you will feel like family when you eat here. It is without a doubt the best Italian food,... More

It's hard to believe that Chef Vola's has been around forever and still maintains it's incredible reputation without any change. Except in the price. Yes, it's still hard to get a reservation but once you get there, it's well worth it! The dining room itself is in the basement of a unpretentious house off the boardwalk in Atlantic City. Very...
