Finally tried the White House Sub Shop and am so glad I did! While you might think to walk right by, do yourself a favor and stop in for delicious hoagies while in AC. The line can be long, but service is quick and the food is just amazing...not salty, just all around great sandwiches with no frills atmosphere. Definitely... More

This is a family owned, corner sub shop. This is not an upscale dining experience, but it is a fun experience with a classic Italian- American quick meal. The atmosphere has that classic AC feel. They are serving the quality product that they have for 60 years and if you are looking for something trendsetting, this isn't the place. No... More

Call ahead for take out. You will be able to enjoy your sub without the wait. The line can be around the block, and it is not worth it. Even the line for take out can be a half an hour long. Call ahead, 20 minutes. Do not be deterred by all of the people waiting in line, and all... More

Last week a few of my cromies and I had an AC weekend, stayed at Bally's and must have walked over 4 times over the weekend. For breakfast - the Pepper, egg & cheese is my morning ritual, so good - I've even had it for lunch one day. You can't beat their Tuna ( without mayo) as it's so... More

Best hoagies or subs or whatever you want to call them in NJ. Bread is fresh and tasty. Meats are top quality and ample in every sub. Cheese is the real deal. I would recommend this place highly for lunch! Just make sure to go at off hours. Not sure even the best sub/hoagie is worth waiting in a line... More

I have been anticipating eating at the White House Sub Shop my last two visits to Atlantic City. I took the shuttle from Harrah's and it was a very short walk thru the Bass Pro parking lot, straight to White House Subs. My steak n cheese was on the dry side, maybe because I was not familiar with their menu.... More

The sandwiches are delicious but I'd rather poke my eye out then go and wait in line for take out. At this place, the same person takes your order and then makes its, making my wait over 30 minutes for 1 cheese steak. Sure it was good, but not worth the wait and the experience. Think about some time management... More

It's a hoagie joint ! Come on its nuttin special! How it got its strong reputation is a puzzlement. Perhaps hoagies back in the day were not so exotic ,as they are today in almost every neighborhood. I would bet you could get e better one within 15 minutes of your home, unless you live in Calcutta. Nothing wrong with... More

What is the fascination with this place? My opinion: The bread is too soft. I grew up in NYC and I can tell you this is a poor excuse for Italian bread. In addition, I do not care for the quality of the cold cuts. Add to that the employees act like they are doing you a favor by overcharging... More
