Fantastic Food, Service, Ambience

My son, a former Boardwalk Empire watcher, picked this restaurant for his 21st birthday dinner with the family. The restaurant is in a great looking old building and has a nice ambience. Ate here two years ago for Thanksgiving. It was wonderful food, beautifully prepared with a nice presentation. The hotel itself is a beautiful building and the atmosphere was understated and classy. The wait staff was very helpful. I recommend this restaurant for a special meal.

Went for lunch on Friday and ordered from the prix-fixe menu. What a great deal; the food was delicious, and the portions were very generous. The restaurant is beautiful and has plenty of off street parking in the lot next door.

We were there for happy hour and her bad attitude was evident from the moment we sat down. We had two seats and brought over a third. Politely asked the person next to us if they could slide down a little and they were kind enough to do so. Kathy the bartender made a snide comment that we were making... More

The sign says they've been around since the early 1900's. That's a long time to get things right, but on the night we went, so much went horribly wrong, and it wasn't only because the kitchen exhaust fan was not working. Yes, the restaurant filled up with acrid smoke and chokingly so. The view into the kitchen through the partition... More

This place needs to learn you do not take a table away from a patron. We were on our way to our table when the restaurant gave it away to another couple. When we asked what happened, the restaurant says they "do not guarantee" tables. So , ok, we saw another desirable location and asked about sitting there and told... More

We were a party of 6 and had a later reservation which they accommodated us at 9 pm. Our waitress was very knowledgable and professional (Heather I believe) which made up for some of our disappointment. The decor inside and the seating arrangement was very nice, it was neat and professional. Our appetizers and salads were ok but nothing above... More

Admittedly, I wanted to go to Dock's, but could not get in. That worked out very well, because I strongly suspect that the Knife is far more charming. First, we had a drink at the lovely bar on the way in while waiting for our table - the tin ceiling is lovely, and the bartender excellent. And those blue cheese... More

Nice change of scenery if you want to get out of the casino, and experience the real Atlantic City. The food was tasty and the service impeccable.
