Let me start by saying I ate here at the end of last year. At that time, the food was decent, as was the service. Not having a bad first experience, our party of five decided to eat there again. We will never be back. When our appetizers arrived, my daughter's was not made the way she had asked. The... More

Went to the Grotto at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City with 3 other couples. Good service and very good food. However, the lasagna entree ($18) was tiny. It was probably 4" square and very thin at 1/2 ". It could not have weighed 4 oz. When the manager was told, she apologized, saying that was the corporate specification. She... More

Excellent Italian food at reasonable prices! Our party of 4 started with the Italian salad from the family style menu. It was delicious (cheese, pickled peppers, olives, mixed greens) and huge, as we could not finish it. Our entrees, from the regular menu, were also large (no one finished their meals) and very good. We tried rigatoni with meat sauce,... More

I have been to Grotto in the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City numerous times and each time the dinner and service has been excellent. I would recommend the Ziti with meatballs in meat sauce(meatballs are fabulous) and chicken francaise although everything there has been very good. They do have some family size offerings which are great for the salad and... More

This was my second time at Grotto AC and the food and service is always great. They have something for everyone and don't over or under season their food. If you can save room for dessert do try, the cart they pull up to your table is hard to resist.

Stopping by the Golden Nugget, we craved Italian for lunch. Grotto was the perfect choice! Tasty Bolognese and Tomato basil soup! The only downside was one server working the entire floor, so when a few other patrons arrived, he was stretched too thin to attend to us in a timely manner. Assuming the service is better during prime time hours,... More

Food was delicious and I actually enjoyed my mango martini. The bread was soft the next day! I had the spicy penne with grilled chicken. Yummy despite peas having to be shelled out (I hate peas). Calamari was great and the waiter was nice.

My boyfriend and I are staying at the golden nugget currently and I just couldnt wait to write this review. We visited the grotto tonight after we found out Lillie's was "closed for inclement weather" after the snow we got today. We arrived a little before 5pm, and found that the grotto had a happy hour in the bar until... More

We had a great meal at the Grotto, on a cold, rainy night. We went into the Golden Nugget to try our luck and found the Grotto, behind one of their Great Bars. Our server, Anthony, was a rare treat, who introduced himself, then asked our names and a night of intense attention to service began. He suggested an appetizer,... More
