My friend and I had a terrific breakfast there recently. It is a fun little place right on the water at Gardiner's Basin. The prices are very reasonable and the food was great. Terrific pancakes and omelettes, etc. It was by far, the best breakfast we had in AC. Highly recommended! Bill P.

We ALWAYS get breakfast at the Gilchrist when we are in AC. The food is excellent, the prices are low and it has outdoor seating on the bay!! Love, love, love this place!

We went parasailing early in the morning and we hear this place was great, the wait was about 10 minutes and the staff was supper friendly starting from the host to the great staff at the kitchen which by the way hard working people and the breakfast was delicious !!

Love to go to local places when I travel and this hit all the right marks for that. I put the comment about waiting in line in the headline of this review because I missed that fact when I was skimming the reviews before choosing this for breakfast. While I don't mind a wait for a good place, my husband... More

We were staying at Revel for a couple of nights and just wanted something that locals would go to. I'm glad we found this place! It was wonderful to sit outside on the water. Breakfast was served fairly quickly. The hot cakes are delicious, we tried all flavors, blueberry, chocolate chip and banana. We even came back again the next... More

Located on the marina with a beautiful view. Nice area with little shops to check out while waiting. We have come a few times and there is always a wait, especially for outside. The food and coffee are good. Pancakes and omelets have been a big hit. Mistakes have been made on our food more than once. Since it is... More

We are always exploring new places to take our boat for waterfront dining and hadn't travelled to AC post Hurricane Sandy. The waterfront has been redeveloped and has a number of wonderful new eateries. Gilchrist's is a breakfast gem. Not only is the view fantastic, but the breakfasts are beyond delicious. Prices are quite reasonable and the service is very... More

With the nice weatger we went looking for a new place to have breakfast outside. Gilchrist ' s is right on the waterfront and has a great outdoor deck. We were greeted by friendly staff and given a table by the water. Although the blueberry pancakes seem to be the most popular breakfast based on the people around us, my... More

Gilchrist is not just a breakfast place, it's a restaurant with a big history in the area and a family that has welcomed folks for generations. When i was younger, my father a Naval Captain would take us here for breakfast. We would sit at the counter and could look through the floor at the water. The food was good,... More
