Our second time to Gilchrist confirmed it's our favorite place for breakfast. The pancakes (I had blueberry) are incredible. I don't typically eat pancakes but these are a "must have". So I had two! Eggs & bacon, grits, home fries, all perfect. Service was fun friendly and fast. Food was on our table in five min. or less If you... More

Popular seaside location with locals and tourists alike. They are known for their pancakes. But their omelets are not too shabby either.

Ok you can have hotcakes or ...............YOU CAN HAVE HOTCAKES! Right on the back bay waterfront. This place, no lie continually has the best. Light, thin and really really good hotcakes. Also another specialty for breakfast and a favorite of mine: 2 eggs, grits and fried codfish. Excellent. Right next to the commercial fishing docks it's an interesting place in... More

We stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning after spending the weekend in Atlantic City. What a treat! The service was spectacular, a level you just don't see anymore. Coffee cups were never less than half full, and service came with a smile. Our food came quickly, and was outstanding. I especially loved the pancakes - delicious. Prices were... More

I've been going to the Gilchrist for years, before they opened the offshore site in Galloway and the new site in Gardener's Basin. My friend and I would always go there after a long night shift and sit next to the water. The food may not be fancy, but it's simple breakfast done right. The staff is super friendly and... More

Their variety of omelets is great, but they're most noted for their hot pancakes, which are awesome. I recommend the stack of pancakes or the stack of blueberry pancakes. Get here before it gets crowded though, if possible.

Gilchrist is famous for their blueberry pancakes, with good cause! Everyone I've ever brought here, loves this place. Located off the strip, in Gardiner's Basin, across from the Atlantic City Aquarium (last stop on the Jitney), on the marina where the historic sailboat cruises and fishing boats leave from, I enjoy looking out over the water while I dine. One... More

As usual I turned to trip advisor for restaurant recommendations during my most recent trip to AC. The reviews were spot on. Everything we ordered was very good. There are great views, and the restaurant staff is very attentive. This is a no frills place to get some very good food, and the water views are a bonus!

Go here for the view. You can sit outside, on a marina, eating breakfast. There's free parking, and best of all --- it's not on the boardwalk or in a casino! The food is fairly priced and much better than what you'll find in the touristy areas, but the number one reason to eat here is for the great view.

The breakfast was amazing and the atmosphere and view was just as good. We would definitely go back!
