I wanted to eat here before Showboat closes for business and on 23AUG2014, I came here. Before I came here, I was a bit concerned if the food or service would be sub-par now that everyone knows that this business is no longer operating on a going-concern basis. I was glad to find out that this was not the case.... More

Shops at the Pier were very nice - beach restaurants were fun - ie. Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. Outdoor light show to music was cool. Theme hotels were fun to see and play -- like Vegas but on a much lesser scale. Had never been to Atlantic City and had always wanted to check it out. Glad we did! :)

I tried a few things from the Buffet and to say for the price it could have been better. The chicken was dry and the sweets were processed.

The food and service were good. The price average. Clean and inviting atmosphere. Too bad it is closing. I will miss it

The buffet was good except you had to pay a extra $20 for Crab Legs my Fav. Service was excellent. There were my Favorite food there like there BBQ RIBS AND CHICHKEN. They also had mt favorite mashed potato's with red potato's and garlic in them. They had my favorite small red tomato's they gush in your mouth. The desserts... More

The first thing that needs to be established is that this is a New Orleans style buffet and not a French buffet, if anyone is confused. There certainly is better quality of food for the money, this buffet is not really in a good quality much, but more mediocre. There's one thing that's good, and that's the dessert. Also, the... Typical buffet with large selection. Food is tasty and plentiful for the price you pay. Freshly sliced turkey and beef, shrimp, along with a selection of Italian or Chinese dishes. Salads, soup and various veggies and a large choice of desserts including sugar free goodies. Enjoyed this buffet over Harrah's or Caesar's.

I was surprised by some of the reviews that I read on other websites, I thought it was going to stink. It was the basic buffet dishes that you see at most of the casino buffets. However, because it is a Mardi Gras theme everything is spiced and seasoned a bit better. Do not waste your money on the crab... More

After reading a glowing review, was expecting an outstanding buffet. However, it was just average. Somewhat limited selections.
