4 of us had lunch on Sunday. The first thing I noticed was how empty the restaurant was. Our food was bland at best. 3 of us ate all of our main course, one of our party had 3 bites and commented, I just don't want to eat a meal of canned food. I ordered a skim latte and received... More

I am a fan of Old Man Rafferty in New Brunswick. The Asbury location was disappointing in quality of food and service

recently went for drinks at the bar. The service was so bad that we couldn't wait to leave. I don't know if the bartender was new or what, but there weren't many people there, and it took forever to get a drink. I've heard from others that have eaten there that it isn't as good as the Old Man Rafferty's... More

There were five adults in our party. There is a big menu to choose from. The salmon dish was a little on the dry side, but the flavor was good. The calamari appy came with three sauces for dipping and it was delicious. The service was wonderful. My best part was the dessert. We shared a chocolate devils food cake... More

We visited Asbury Park in September. We saw Old Man Rafferty's and were familiar with the New Brunswick,NJ restaurant so, we took a chance. The restaurant was empty and we had 3 adults,1 child in our group. We ordered salads and a grilled cheese for the child. None of the items should've taken more than 15 minutes to prepare. It... More

Food is good but the selection on the menu is somewhat limited. The best this there is dessert. We would just go there for dessert take out and then eat it on the boardwalk.

We decided to go to OMR for lunch with several friends because their menu would satisfy us all. The service is excellent. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and have helped us make wise choices. They are not intrusive ( like waiting until you have a mouth full of food to ask if everything is satisfactory) one of the things... More

We came for lunch on a Saturday afternoon during the quiet season. The wait staff were friendly with attentive service, though we did have to ask a few times for refills. The sandwich portions that we saw were huge. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you are met with a full display case of cakes. Like the menu says,... More

I had dinner with some friends for a birthday and found it to be a very nice place. I got the Buffalo Chicken Spring Rolls for an appetizer. They were good, although I wish I had bleu cheese dressing to dip instead of the crumbles all over the plate. I also found that some parts got soggy from sitting on... More
