We went for Sunday brunch. The wait at 11:00 am was over 1/2 hour. Gave us time to explore a bit and we were not disappointed. The food is wonderful.

Great atmosphere - cool vibes. The food is always amazing and the service is good. On the weekends the wait can be a little long but its worth it. The crab and asparagus omelet is a must try. The smoked salmon eggs Benedict is to die for. Its a BYOB so bring some champagne and bring on the mimosas !

I would have given this place a higher rating if its not because of the restaurant antics. Either they are short-staffed on Saturday morning which didn't seem like it or they want to trump up business by having ppl stand around outside waiting for tables - which seemed to be the case here. We waited for about 40 min to... More

A five star review and I never even set foot inside. I had the horrible misfortune of getting between an overprotective dog and his sweet owner as I was walking in and was bitten on my calf. as I grabbed my leg, I threw my back out. Not my finest moment but what an opportunity to meet a whole neighborhood... More

Bicycling into downtown Asbury Park early one weekday morning, and looking for breakfast stop, we noticed Toast was open and decided to give it a try. The service was prompt and we perused the menus, which offered several variations on standard morning fare. A breakfast sandwich, offered on a buttermilk biscuit (as well as a Kaiser roll) came open-faced with... More

Maybe it is a regional difference, but I found the pancakes way too thick and dry. Like eating a corn bread cake. Home fries totally bla as well.

toast is run by restaurant people. i don't know this for a fact but u can tell they know their craft. let's get past the price tag and focus on the ridiculously good bananas foster or stuffed french toast! iced coffee (like really good rich coffee) served in mason jars is kitchy but fits the urban eclectic vibe. can't wait... Positive: excellent service. Good food. Outdoor seating on main road was nice. Negative: long wait before being seated, especially on a weekend. (25min). It is pricey for what you get. I paid 6.99 for 2 eggs, a tiny cup of fruit (mainly cantaloupe) and 2 pieces of toast.

Nice space in great block of Cookman Ave. Was there alittle before 1:00 which is a good time because its definitely a "brunchy" kind of place. Kids loved the reasonably priced pancakes...In particular the chocolate chip pancakes were a huge hit. Adults had wraps which were also quite good and reasonably priced. They came w/fries (a choice of French and... More
