the godfather would love it

if i close my eyes, I would think I was in my families kitchen.the authenticity of not only the menu selections, veal, chicken, lamb, pork, fish ,and pastas, but the presentation is reminicent of the plating in your own home.

Don't let the neighborhood stop you from eating here. Everyone from the Valet parking lot attendant to the wait staff was extremely welcoming and provided top notch service. The food here is never disappointing no matter what you order. The wine list and desserts are extensive. I recommend trying the Sole Almondine..simply delish!!

Let start with the best bartender I ever had-Nick is a home grown "una brava persona" just the drinks and free Italian meats/cheese/crackers can fill you up-at the bar.His back up is much prettier than Nick but just as good make a martini. The food is worth every cent-Tomato sauce-is like mom/portions are huge-fish right off the boat and I'm... More

This deceptively large restaurant is in the middle of a neighborhood. The portions are huge. Two meals can be made out of one. The shrimp parmigiana had 4 huge shrimp that took up the entire platter and was topped by lots of mozzarella. The side of rigatoni was in a medium sized platter. The salad that comes with the entree... More

Ever been to the Reservoir Tavern in Parsippany or the Squan in Manasquaun ? If you have and they are on your list of great classic Italian food and service you will like this place. AP has come along way and this place is located in not the best location however it is safe. My sister took me there as... More

Wife and I saw ad and had to go. Reminds me of the restaurants in my Italian neighborhood in the Bronx. This place is great! Great food, friendly staff and valet parking. I had veal parm and it was as good as my grandmother's. Well almost. Had a clam appetizer special, 2 oreganato, 2 casino and 2 crab stuffed. Fantastic.... More

It's been years....but wow...the food was fantastic!! The surrounding area continues to question going there, but now there is a valet parker. Antipasto was great, so was pizza and double stuffed lamb chop with fontina cheese!!! Still a classic@@

I returned to Jimmy's for the second time. It has been three years since I made it to the Jersey Shore but I remembered good food at this restaurant. I brought 2 friends for their first experience. The hostess was friendly over the phone "see you soon hon". We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere with the bar and comfortable booth seating.... More

My wife, daughter and future son-in-law went to Jimmy's while on a scouting mission to find a location for my daughter's wedding. Jimmy's came highly recommended. The food did not disappoint but I was surprised by the high prices. Even in NYC you rarely pay $29 for a veal parmigiana dinner. I will say that the portions are large and... More

Have been eating at Jimmy's for 25 years and it always has been really very good. Prices are a little high, service is excellent. Its the kind of place you want to go back to because the food is consistently good. The back room does not have the best atmosphere so if available you should try to be seated in... More
