Description: Asados Dona Rosa was born on October 10, 1986, in the Alto de Las Palmas...
Asados Dona Rosa was born on October 10, 1986, in the Alto de Las Palmas in a very small space in which there were only two tables; for God's grace and Dona Rosa, since the doors opened this small restaurant has been a success because it is always good energy transmitted in all that was done there. The typical Colombian food had that homemade taste infected with much love and sacrifice, since it began zeros, only what had were eager to work and make this small space a haven for clients and guests traveling along this route. One of the first sentences of Dona Rosa opened the door was, "if churches are made at the point of pies I because I can not make pies with tears" because at that time his youngest son was born, hence the phrase appears that will never forget and always give thanks to God for this wonderful company with over 250 employees and a family to serve all our customers.

The Howard Johnson Restaurant of Colombia

Dona Rosa is a roadside restaurant on Via Las Palmas just before entering Medellin. The food is typical paisa (arepas, asado & bandejas) and reasonably priced. Dona Rosa's caters to hungry motorists. Recommended stop on the way back from the Rionegro airport.

This is one of the typical colombian food restaurant you have to go as soon as you arrive in Medellin. "Paisa" food is delicious and its better if you try the real way of cooking like this guys make. Good prices, nice location (the one in Las Palmas avenue) good portions!

If you really want to have authentic food this is the place to go. We had cazuela and it was superb. The cab we had from the airport let us go there. The one we went was the one ritght before entering medellin.

2 thumbs up Doña Rosa, you are a class act and I cannot say enough wonderful things about your restaurant, staff and kindness. All the food here is incredible, reasonably priced and mouth watering. You will keep gong back to this jewel of a restaurant with several locations around town and near the international airport. A definite Winner! P/s. The... More

It is about 3 minutes down the road after leaving the airport on the right side. It's always my first meal every time I'm in town. you will see so many of the same people who were on the flight with you here with family that met them at the airport

Stopped to have dinner after we landed before we got to the hotel. Everything was average. Live music was so loud we couldn't carry any type of conversation. Personally we will never be going back.

Words cannot begin to describe what a wonderful restaurant this is. The food is so good that I cannot wait to return to Colombia so I can eat at Dona Rosa. The food is authentic Colombia cuisine serving the most incredible delicacies including fresh fish, steak, fried plantain, etc etc. The places is always busy and Dona Rosa is right... More

If you want typical food for a low price and you don´t expect high quality this could be an option. But if you want to eat very good food in a good place, you have to go to another restaurant.

This restaurant has two locations that I am aware of, one which is about 1 miles from MDE and another that is about 15 minutes from MDE. The food is great, the servers are friendly and humble, there is often some music, and you will like it. They hosted a small party for my American guests who traveled to Medellin... More
