Try the bandeja Paisa. Really worth it. Nice service and pleasant atmosphere. On Sundays expect to line up for a table, as this seems to be a favorite with the locals. A few blocs from the Diez Hotel, on Calle 10, it is quite easy to locate. The portions are quite big, without detriment to flavor.

With a group of friends we tried a few dishes. All taste great, but their dish called "Mondongos". Slow staff though.

A special evening trying Mondongo- a thick soup/stew that is a Colombian specialty. Add warm arepas, local bananas and avocados, some good wine, casual warm atmosphere and friendly staff, and voila! Highly recommend!

Mondongos is the restaurant where people of Medellin go on Sunday (I was taken by locals). It is always packed and after eating there you will understand why. It offers great typical food, the service is very good and the waiters extremely nice. I suggest to order the bandeja paisa. Make sure you're hungry before going!

Nice restaurant. They have a great mondongo. Not expensive and very spacious. Traditional Colombian and you get huge portions.

They definitely have traditional Colombian food, and a lot of it! Portions are huge here, but in general in a lot of traditional places too. We ordered one Bandeja Paisa, also known on their English menu as the Típico con Mondongo. And a side of french fries. I wish we hadn't ordered the french fries! We were SO full! Food... More

Mondongos is okay but typical Colombian food and busy servers can only give you so much attention. They only have the small bottles of Gato Negro wine available which is not good at best. Food was fine and location is good for people watching but only an average experience.

We decided to go to this place as it had good reviews, was in the Poblado district in Medellin and had local cuisine which we wanted to try. It was easy to find and the waiters were polite. We ordered the Mondongo (seemed like the sensible option considering the name of the restaurant) which consisted of a number of dishes... More
