I tried the dish with the same name as the restaurant. It turned out to be a large bowl of soup. I'm not sure what kind of meat was in it, but it was a very hearty soup. It was really good and the service was good. I think it was about 22 mil pesos for the soup and a... More

If you haven't tried the traditional farmhand plate elsewhere, you might be interested in checking it out here. It usually consists of minced beef, a fried plantain, rice, some deep-fried pork skin (chichurron), beans, and maybe an egg. That said, you could probably do better. You would be lucky to find a fresh vegetable in this place. The food is... More

Very good traditional Colombian food including Bandeja Paisa. They also have a restaurant in Doral (Miami) FL. Reasonable prices and good food!

I've heard so much about Mondongos that I was afraid to be disappointed. Well, you love it or you hate it and I loved it both the dish and the service. The waiter went at great length explaining the ingredients that go into a Mondongo (tripes, etc.) and recommended that I take half a portion. Once it arrived he explained... More

We wanted to try the Paisa Plate and went to Mondogos. We all had the plata and it was enourmous and tasy and inexpensive. We likes to fast service and food quality was good.

You must have Mondongo, if you want local food. If there is a line up, it should move fast. Staff is very efficient and friendly. If you don't want Mondongo, there are other options. Regardless, the food is good and served in big portions.

Excellent service & amazing food. The menu only has ten items but what they do, they do it very well! Try the guyabano juice made with milk. It's not on the menu but the meat plates also come in half portions.

This friendly restaurant in El Poblado serves the best Bandeja Paisa in Medellin. Generous portions with fantastic flavors make this a must if you're in the neighborhood.

I've tried this restaurant while visiting Medellin because i frequent the Mondongos in Miami quite often and everyone tells me the beans tastes the same as the restaurant in Medellin. After trying out the Mondongos in Medellin I was very happy with the service and food. I had the tipico which was delicious and always leaves me full. The beans... More

Mondongo is tripe stew. It is one of the favorite dishes of Medellin. Okay. So I have tried almost anything that grows, moves,or crawls. Still, Tripe was something I would eat only if I was starving. But since they named the restaurant after it, who could resist? Glad I didn't fight it. Mondongo is great food, and Mondongos makes great... More
