A place where you can play with your food

We almost didn't go to El Cielo because of the mixed TripAdvisor reviews - and I couldn't be more glad that we ignored the negative comments. This was one of the best, most unique experiences we have had in a restaurant. We had the 10 course meal which cost $87,000COP plus 8% tax and 10% service... read more

You come here to impress or be impressed. Basically, people who know little about food try to impress you with Ferran Adria tricks that have been played one too many times in fine cuisine elsewhere. I enjoy actually seeing people nervously looking at the bill as they struggle to pretend easily part of over $200 USD in food that is... More

We ordered the 15 course meal, and found it was too much food (we were not that hungry at the start of dinner). I think that may have influenced our experience a bit. But the food was very good, and the presentation was always interesting. If we had to do it again, we'd get the 10 course. Several of the... More

We visited Medellin from Vancouver (Canada) and were recommended to go to El Cielo by friends. This restaurant is ranked in the top 50 of Latin America. We had the 10 courses paired with 5 wines and it was all really delicious. The presentation of each meal was interesting and the cuisine is local based. We spent 3 hours here... More

My friend and I had no idea what to expect when we got to El Cielo, which made our experience even more memorable and awesome. This was easily one of best dinners I've ever had, and the most unique. The decor was simple and sophisticated, an outdoorsy vibe. We had a choice between 10 or 15 "moments" and chose 10.... More

El cielo is one of the best restaurants ever. Going there is a great experience you will never forget. Chef JuanMa is one of the best in Colombia. He loves cooking and you can feeling it in his menu, his restaurant and his cooking. Great experience. It is a must in Medellin gastronomic tour. The menu is always changing. Excellent... More

My dad and I went there looking for the new colombian cuisine but all we found was a very expansive regular meal, exactly the same food you can find at Crepes and Wafles for less than half the price. We will not go back...

We read the Trip Advisor reviews, and they were mixed. We found that the restaurant, though smart, did not live up to the positive reviews. We visited the restaurant the previous day and booked for the following evening and watched the waitress put our name in the book. When we arrived the following day the reservation had not been processed.... More

Trying to locate this tiny location for fine dining within Poblado is not easy, but once you enter, you realize you are in for a special experience. Upon arrival you are shown to your table and I highly recommend a reservation due to the size of the restaurant and popularity. Menus are NOT offered as the restaurant has the restaurant... More
