The FM is a jem in the center of Cartagena. The service is above and beyond rating and the location is fantastic - they have outdoor seating. They have not only a good variety of starters, but also very enjoyable main dishes. The wine list is extensiv - and the have suitable alternatives, if your favorite wine would be sold... More

A new friend brought me here quite soon after I arrived in Cartagena for my first dinner. She said the steak was to die for. Our experience started with us deciding to sit in the open air courtyard - as I had just arrived from a very cold climate I did not want air conditioning! It was lovely and peaceful.... More

We went there on a Sunday night, when the restaurant was not as busy. We were sat on the patio which turned out to be a lovely colonial garden with a fountain, lanterns and candles, mixed with tropical plants. The building is a colonial "casona" that gives you the feel of old-days Cartagena and it's very well decorated. Our menus... More

I found this place on a side street in Cartagena looking for another restaurant. This place is FANTASTIC! The fish I had was sublime, the wind list extensive for Cartegena, the service was impeccable and the setting was divine: 14 foot ceilings, plastered stone walls, tile floors and long wooden shutters for the windows ... Muy magnifico!

Delicious food . I could identify most of the flavours as being part of my childhood at my grand mother's in Spain. These added to the tropical richness of colombian food are the the perfect ingredients for an unforgettable lunch. Excellent service and original decoration. Francisco Montoya acts like the perfect host. We were not in a restaurant , we... More

We found this restaurant through Trip Advisor. This was yet another restaurant that our Concierge at the Hotel Santa Clara did not seem to know about...since they apparently do not receive "benefits" (aka kickbacks) by recommending. Beautiful interior in colonial building with creative lighting design and piano player on Wednesday night that we were there. Served with bread & butter... More

I was recommended this restaurant by a work colleague who had been to Cartagena a few weeks before my visit and insisted I try it out. The restaurant was taken over by a corporate event on the night we hoped to have dinner, so we came back for lunch the next day. Sitting in the outdoor courtyard in the afternoon... More

We had just arrived in Cartagena and were walking around getting the feel of the city. FM is in a beautifully restored building in the walled city. It looked inviting so we went in. We sat in the non AC courtyard (our choice)and had the green gazpacho for a starter. It was excellent. I had the Robalo also wonderful, my... More

FM (Fernando Montoya) is a beautiful old precolonial structure in the San Diego area of the walled city with a spacious and inviting entrance - 2 salons w A/C and an open atrium patio. Very nice ambience which also features live piano music (Saturday night at least) which makes for a soothing and agreeable atmosphere in the restaurant. Nice lighting... More

This is the most Americanized place in the walled city with 80's videos and sports playing. If you tired of salsa, this is a good alternative. The bar is open late and they have a small menu for late night bites.
