Loved the food and the style. We had dinner for two, two starters and two mains. Washed down with mojitos. We wanted dessert but were stuffed full of great food. Great service and fab food. I would recommend the octopus carpaccio for a starter. Save your appetite for this place and eat like a king.

You can get an all in deal that includes an open bar if you want and some different food. The chicken livers were a welcome change from typical restaurant food and cooked just right. The fish and coconut stew starter was so good I wished I'd gone for the mains size instead. Nice selection of dessert that should suit everyone.... More

We had the "Plan Milagro" which includes open bar for 2 hours. Had a delicious appetizer fish soup called Changó, followed by La Pesca del Obispo, which is a perfectly well grilled steak of jurel (a tuna-like fish) served in a mango-coconut sauce. Don't miss it.

It is a very special restaurant, it is decorated wit real antique religious pieces, and the dishes are named after religious themes. I had a cocktail called "pecado mortal" (mortal sin)made out of champagne that was delicious. we loved the food, The entrees are rather small, but the main courses are big. I recommend you order both to be satisfied.

The restaurant is beautiful - it is set in a former monastery and the clever dessert menu aptly defines the dishes according to the seven deadly sins - to die for! All of the food my large party of friends ordered was absolutely delicious, local specialties all worth sampling. And the service was excellent, very friendly and accommodating staff!!

Already a classic in Cartagena, a few steps from the traditional Hotel Santa Clara, el Santisimo has not only delicious dishes but also a good service and nice environment. Totally recommended.

Every time I go to Cartagena I make a point of going to El Santísimo. They have a special where for $50 you get an appetizer, a main course, a dessert, and two hours of open bar. The open bar includes all the best liquor and wine. The cuisine is exceptional.

Had dinner here after reading a recommendation in the Lonely Planet. The restaurant has a really nice feel and the service is excellent. I had prawns wrapped in banana leaves with the Chocolate mousse and sorbet for dessert. Both were amazing! They were also great with ensuring my food was gluten free. Highly recommended

Walking into El Santisimo from the cobbled streets of the Old Town was a wonderful surprise. The restaurant was relatively large with enough seating for about 75 people. It is simply, but very nicely, decorated. A chandelier made of wine bottles was just one thing that made the decor different and interesting, too. Our primary course was fish and a... More
