This is a very well recognized restaurant for a semi formal dinner. Air conditioned and serving gourmet plates. Itis located in the historical distric. Desserts were spectacular. A very good experience

Had they dimmed the lights slightly and prepared the rabbit sous vide properly, they would've got 5 stars ;)
In all seriousness, after nearly a month I still remember the flavors (aside from the rabbit) vividly and would definitely go back. Salmon mustard-y ceviche and beef fillet with caramelized onions were world class. Octopus carpaccio was not outstanding but very...

Over priced and food was disappointing. Do not order the crispy red snapper as it is extremely crispy and dry. The chickpea and lamp was not a stew but appeared to be grilled lamb dropped into a chickpea sauce. Have to admit that we were refunded for the meal. None he less would not recommend as they are extremely expensive...

We came here as a suggestion of the concierge of the Santa Clara Hotel The place is nice, but not remarkable, the service correct. If you don't choose the menu the price is quite over rated. The food was not bad, but as the rest, no special at all. I won’t repeat, there're better places to go in Cartagena
We had dinner at El Santísimo two days ago. I found the place very pleasant and the service good and not pushy at all. The food was not as great as I had expected, but the Capricho de Olaf y Helga was a nice salmon ceviche. On the other hand, Pa' Excomulgados, a trio of Cartagenean fritters, was a little...

We went to El Santisimo after hearing several reccommendations. The food in Cartagena is terrific, and this restaurant was not terrible, it simply wasn't up to the level of others. It was also pricey. Had the food been fabulous that would have been less of an issue.
A couple of stay aways: 1) the snapper bites came out hard as...

I'm not sure what the others are talking about. I researched this restaurant and we loved it. Without a reservation you may not get in. Service was good, food was hot, well prepared and presented as described in the menu. My husband and the slow cooked beef in a fantastic sauce and I had a shrimp dish, topped with desert....

We stay at the Hotel Santa Clara and trusted their Concierge's advice on this hotel....that was a mistake. We arrived at 7:30 at El Santisimo and waited 40 minutes to get our drinks. We ended up standing up to get the attention of our server. Dinner wasn't much better as it arrived at least 1 hour after our drinks. Perhaps...

We went for dinner on Sunday 02/24/13 since many restaurants were closed. We purchased an all-included dinner for COP 90.000 ("all the wines and drinks" we wanted).
Then we were informed that only certain wines were available for this package (all of them terrible).
The food was not good at all (entrants, first, dessert).
The only thing really good was...

We had an excellent meal in this restaurant. Fresh ingredients, well prepared. The dessert menu was interesting, if not tempting in its selections. Service was friendly and helpful despite our difficulties with the Spanish language. All in all, a nice coda to our stay in Cartagena.
